Fossil fuel companies gouge gas prices and what do they get? @POTUS rewards them with a $10b tax break.
These companies have made $100b since Jan, directly stealing from all of us.
We need a windfall profits tax. Policy should help people, not corporations.
Big news this AM: Pres. Biden will call on Congress to suspend the federal gas tax for 3 months *and* ask states to suspend their own gas taxes or provide commensurate relief to consumers.
This will cost about $10B — the fed gov't charges an 18.4-cent tax per gallon.

Or as I say somewhat often:
"Manage the humans in front of you."
You can't manage the team you wish you had.
You can't manage the way you want to be managed.
You have to manage the people on your team the way they want and need to be managed and supported.

Actually good, major climate news: today New York City is announcing its public pensions are fully divesting out of the fossil fuel industry and into renewables & climate - a massive shift of about $50 billion. 🌎
This move is led by NYC workers. Here’s why this is a big deal.⤵️
Joined by @AOC, Mayor de Blasio today announces $50 billion divestment from fossil fuels + new investment in renewables. The city is committing to net-zero emissions in all pension investments.

I want to live in a country where majority rules. That’s not 60 votes to overcome a filibuster. That’s not an electoral college overriding the popular vote. That’s not gerrymandering to rejigger demographic composition. That’s not denying voter rights to falsify the people’s will

To fight Zoom fatigue, give people the freedom to turn their cameras off.
New experiment: videos off reduces exhaustion and boosts engagement—especially for women and newcomers.
Cameras off doesn't reflect disengagement. It helps to prevent burnout and promote attention.

The tutorials themselves use a new way of authoring structured learning material using JSON and markdown that we call “tracks.”
