The Rosary is way more effective when you sufficiently meditate on the mysteries and you do that best with the Scripture. Try it today and see the result today. youtu.be/8CmGSnWpR_8?si=EH8a…

Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.

A Protestant decided to “pretend Catholicism is real” for 30 days. On Day 4, something happened that he wasn’t expecting. Listen to what he experienced while meditating on the suffering of Jesus Christ.

One of my friends is a Harvard grad and business owner. He converted to Catholicism because of the canon problem. Bible alone doesn't work if you can't define the Bible.

On this, his feast day, I am so profoundly grateful to my Patron Saint, St. Ignatius of Antioch, for his role in my conversion to the Catholic Faith from protestantism. A disciple of the Apostles, one of their successors (as a bishop), and a martyr, he opened my eyes to the reality of Apostolic Succession, the Real (and Substantial) Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, the priesthood, the unity of the Catholic altar, and many other great and necessary truths. To this day, I affectionately call him “St. Ignatius the Red Pill,” because despite the fact that I was not looking for the Catholic Church, he smacked me into reality very quickly, and inaugurated my journey into the writings of the Church Fathers. The rest, as they say, is history!

This is how I became Catholic though, to be fair. When Protestants display their ignorance about Catholicism and are corrected in the replies, people read them. The lurkers are the target audience. Never forget how important they are. I became Catholic because of people correcting folks like Lizzie, James White, Mike Winger, etc. in the comments. Don’t stop correcting Protestants. Do so with love (something I need to get better at). Because you can impact someone’s eternity without even realizing it.
non-Catholics explaining what Catholics teach is always the most pathethic thing ever.

I was interviewed for this article, and explained why Pope Leo's views, rightly understood, are in continuity with the just war tradition.
The Catholic Church is rethinking its centuries-old teaching on armed conflicts, @LuisParrales_ writes. He explains why Pope Leo called just-war theory “outdated”—and why other Catholics believe it’s more relevant than ever: theatlantic.com/culture/2026…

This is not a novel teaching but simply the reiteration of what has long been standard Catholic moral theology, and in any event it is an obvious implication of natural law principles governing respect for the lives and property of the innocent. A faithful Catholic cannot approve of deliberate attacks on civilian lives, property, or infrastructure any more than he could approve of abortion, theft, or vandalism.
Pope Leo XIV: “[Among] certain non-negotiable requirements… [on] the decision to use lethal force… [is to] ensure robust protection for civilians and the infrastructures necessary for their survival… When we witness the bombing of civilians, attacks on hospitals, schools or vital infrastructure, and violence that affects children, we are confronted with scandals that wound humanity itself” (Magnifica Humanitas 200, 216)

When I was a Protestant, desperately trying to remain Protestant and resist the Catholic Church, I spent a lot of time trying to rationalize and defend Sola Scriptura. But there was one glaring problem I could never overcome. Nowhere does Scripture teach that Scripture alone is the Christian's only infallible rule of faith. I watched countless Protestants, myself included, constantly demand that Catholics prove their doctrines from Scripture alone, while being unable to prove Sola Scriptura by that very same standard. Instead, we would appeal to passages like 2 Timothy 3:16-17, which tells us that Scripture is God-breathed and profitable, so that the man of God may be complete and equipped for every good work. But somehow, we turned that into Scripture ALONE is sufficient, Scripture ALONE equips the believer, and Scripture ALONE is the final authority. We were reading words into the text that simply weren't there. And we conveniently overlooked passages like Ephesians 4:11-12, where God gives the Church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers for the very purpose of equipping the saints. The more I studied Scripture, the more I realized that defending Sola Scriptura required me to impose something upon Scripture that Scripture itself never taught. The foundational doctrine Protestants use to reject Catholic teaching cannot even pass the test they demand of Catholics.

But dost thou think, Chemnitz, that all of us who were present at the Council of Trent brought from home all things already prejudged which were there concluded? Believe me: many previously thought far otherwise; many in very many matters followed an opinion quite different, which they not only tried openly to attest, but also to persuade by arguments. But since the common zeal of all was to find the truth, to separate certain things from doubtful, true from false, religious from sacrilegious, there was no one in so great a multitude of men who, once he had heard the definition of the Council, did not wholly obey, cast away his opinion, put off his own mind, change his judgment, and embrace with religious reverence what had been pronounced by the Fathers. For we knew that it is lawful for a Christian man to adhere to his own judgment only so long as no judgment of the Church stands forth concerning that matter; and that in this the greatest force of faith is discerned, that, even when genius resists, we humbly kiss the decisions of the Church, and believe that to be the true sense of Scripture which the sacrosanct Council has handed down. Becoming Catholic is the biggest relief of my life. To think that, while I was trying to figure it out myself, thousands of bishops over 2,000 years had preserved the Church for this exact purpose. Amazing.

As a Protestant, you are not bound to believe or do anything unless you first decide that it is binding. What your pastor tells you is optional. What the Creeds say is optional. Any interpretation of the Bible is optional. Even which books count as inspired is open to your own judgment. In Protestantism, nothing is binding that your own interpretation cannot overrule. Which is precisely why schism and division are such defining features of Protestantism.

Friends, in the spiritual life, grace always comes first. We don’t earn our way into the wedding feast of the Son of God. But once we’re in the banquet, God expects us to wear a wedding garment—that is, to behave as someone worthy of such a feast, performing good works in cooperation with God’s grace. Grace first, then the garment.

Scripture explicitly says we are not justified by faith alone. Somehow, faith alone became an entire theological system. James 2:24 must be an inconvenient verse.

Most of the developed world has abolished the death penalty and the murder rates have declined or steadied, not increased. Canada abolished for murder in 1976. Homicide rate fell from 3.09 in 1975 to 2.41 in 1980 and stayed lower. No collapse of protection. UK abolished 1965. Germany 1949. France 1981. Australia 1985. All protect society with life imprisonment. Murder rates are fraction of US which still executes. Every EU country does it. 114 countries have abolished for all crimes as of 2026. Lebanon just abolished August 2026 and converted death sentences to life. I have a question for all these pro death penalty people. Name a retentionist country with lower murder than abolitionist Germany or Spain? Texas has 80 percent higher murder than Minnesota which does not execute.

Pope Leo XIV underwent thoracic surgery at Gemelli Hospital on Tuesday afternoon, as planned, according to a statement from Dr. Luigi Carbone and Professor Stefano Margaritora released by the Holy See Press Office. The surgeons removed the lower lobe of the Pope’s right lung, and tissue examined during the operation confirmed the diagnosis of “lung adenocarcinoma,” as suspected from tests conducted beforehand. The Pope was in the operating room approximately three hours, while the operation itself lasted about 90 minutes. The doctors said it was successful and there were no complications. Pope Leo awoke normally after surgery and, following a brief period of observation, returned to his room on the hospital’s 10th floor, according to the statement. vaticannews.va/en/pope/news/…
