How I see things: A) The Duck is right. Midterms go well. Trump a lame duck. US goes back to normalcy, slowly. How deep we correct, irrelevant B) Midterms don't go well. US goes into a constitutional crisis but 2028 elections go normal. C) If 2028 goes badly too, just give up.
