Most encouraging thing out of the Utah game for me was how good Connor Murphy and Jake Walman were. Tracking the game this morning, they were both very good when this game was in doubt. The F group is always going to tremendous, it’s the D that will take this team next level.

Nathan Day wins the Fort Wayne opener 6-3. 27/30 on the night but he made 4 massive saves before the Komets got into the game.

This Denver-Michigan game is off the charts in terms of officiating. Denver has been given 6 PPs to Michigan’s 2. Stil 3-2 Michigan after 2. Daxon Rudolph has been the best player in this game for me.

In the video session today, I’d probably have a bunch of clips of Logan Cooley, yes Logan Cooley, just running around without any concern last night taking cracks at the top line of the Oilers. There are lots of shifts to choose from.

Not the biggest issue tonight but this Oilers lineup shouldn’t be this soft against Utah. I’d be asking some questions of some guys lower in the lineup about what they think about 97 and 29 getting run.
