If you're ever in Kanazawa, Japan, ignore the tourist spots & head to the Tsudoh Music Bar. Great prices, food cooked to order & live music. A perfect evening.
Well, this was a twisty story that kept me guessing! #TheExperiment by @AndersenPress. A middle-grade sci-fi with aliens, a hidden space ship, a huge hoax and cats.
This is one of those books that makes you go wow! Monsters, beasts & magical creatures, all stunningly illustrated. Aimed at 8-12yrs, it would also appeal to older readers (though might give younger ones nightmares) #Monsterlogica - a #musthave for the #schoollibrary @QuartoKids
Like many, 1066 & the #BayeuxTapestry are connected in my head but I've never given either much thought so found this book a delightful intro to what, why, how, who-aimed at 5-7 yrs #primary it's perfect for exploring that part of Britain's history. @NosyCrowBooks @britishmuseum
Delightful and fun - the 6 yr old g/d and I spent hours exploring the whimsical illustrations, opening flaps and looking for hidden mice. #CatFamilyBirthday by @QuartoKids

YA graphic novel memoir that looks at the 'troubled teen' industry in the US, through the personal experiences of the author. Emotional & disturbing - I powered through this book as couldn't put it down! @quarto
A rather fun story about a greedy squirrel hoarding nuts & a naughty bird stealing them. Although it's a counting book, there's a message about sharing too. #picturebook @quartokids
Great to see another book in this fantastic series @QuestFriendz Readers can join the #SuperQuesters in a thrilling adventure to stop the destruction of a desert. Encourages STEM skills for 6-9 yr olds. Get the whole series for your #schoollibrary
The rich have moved to Mars & are still draining the Earth of resources, those who can buy a ticket to Starlight City. The rest struggle to survive & hope to win a ticket in the weekly lottery. Gripping dystopian story of friendship & hope. Scarily topical! Age 10+. @TroikaBooks
Those familiar with One Cat Two Cats will know what to expect from this large #boardbook! Dogs in all shapes, sizes & colours, hidden behind panels & pop-ups. Fantastic fun! #eyfs @NosyCrowBooks
Another 2 great books in the 'Don't call me' series by @QuartoKids - a mix of story told in rhyme, fun characters & facts. Ideal for KS1 #space #marinelife
