💊 BC PharmaCare Update on Semaglutide
Generic versions of semaglutide from Apotex and Dr. Reddy’s are now covered in BC. They work the same as Ozempic® but cost about 65% less, and will usually be the first option PharmaCare covers if patients qualify.
Ozempic® is still covered, but expect a shift toward the lower‑cost options and more conversations with patients about switching.
