Hasan Piker said nothing even contestable. The US has killed more people using classic terrorist tactics than Al Qaeda by far. Here's what MLK said in 1967:
During his interview with Axios, Hasan Piker was asked if he thinks America is worse than al-Qaeda: "Pound for pound, as far as the number of deaths, yes. We've caused tremendous terror all around the world. I think that that is not only terror that we are waging on regular civilians in nations in the periphery, but it's also having consequences on ourselves. It's having dramatic consequences on the home front. One clear example of this is what we did in Minab [Iran]. There's no distinction between blowing up a school, triple-tapping it with tomahawk missiles. If you're killing 140 school girls, that is an act of terror. This doesn't mean that all Americans are terrorists, but the reality of the matter is we have to create an environment of accountability to ensure things like that never happen again."

While Prime Minister Netanyahu had previously negotiated based on the possibility of some type of future Palestinian state, this government now claims all the land of Israel-Palestine and is aggressively implementing a comprehensive, systematic plan to realize its vision of a Greater Israel.
The surprising part is how close they have already come.

I think the excellent @PabloTorre is spot on here (although the analogy with Charlie Kirk isn’t quite fair to Hasan Piker, who has never said anything as brazenly bigoted about all Jews or anyone else, as Kirk did all the time about Islam and Muslims).
Pablo Torre disagreed with Scarborough’s comparison of Hasan Piker to Nick Fuentes and instead said “he’s more like Charlie Kirk” because of the idea that “there are people who exist to provoke on the other side.”
After Scarborough pushed back a bit, Torre tried to explain that Piker’s 9/11 comments were simply "something that you say when you're trying to make a point that forces the mainstream to reckon with all of the costs of what American militarism has done."
Torre added, "And I would not say it."

Just to respond to your response to my post:
1) There were no facts "misstated" by me. You cited three examples in response. Only one of them was about specific *named* GOP House members (and it wasn't from "yesterday", it was from a year ago.) So I stand by my post.
2) As others have pointed out already, none of the 3 articles you cited have the names of any GOP individuals in the titles ("Right-Wing Republicans" "a Kansas Republican" "G.O.P. Fingerprints"), in comparison to your original "Who is Darializa" takedown piece. Where is your "Who is Brandon Gill" or "Who is Keith Self" or "Who Is Randy Fine" or "Who Is Mary Miller" critical profile pieces? How about "Who is Tom Emmer," given the GOP House Majority Whip just a few days ago spewed racist crap about Somalis? And where are the Peter Baker tweets summarizing *their* most controversial claims?
3) This isn't a new criticism. Many have made it against your paper for many years; that you go harder on the left than the right, that you even occasionally whitewash the far right. Remember when you had to do a public response in 2017 to a NYT profile that went super soft on a... Nazi? politico.com/story/2017/11/2…. Remember when you guys did a softball piece about a far-right, Islamophobic Trump aide's love for cooking? nytimes.com/2018/04/24/us/po….
Oh, and dare I ask: where are the fawning 'Trump voters' in diners' equivalent pieces for DSA members in NYC bodegas? Isn't it time?
4) Finally, that your response to my post was to proudly say you guys at the Times have "been documenting the increasingly extreme viewpoints on both sides of the political spectrum" kinda makes my point for me. One side's extreme wants universal healthcare and an end to genocide. The other side's extreme says Somalis are "garbage" and wants "remigration", mass deportations and white supremacy.
But, hey, "Both sides!"
