AI will replace human customer service reps. But it won't be better. That is why we still hear people screaming "Can I please speak to a human" after frustrating calls. And that is why we hear of AI chatbots lying about being humans.
Let me thread a bit and explain my working
Customer service reps can handle some issues. Simple stuff that can be handled by a chatbot. And will. Because they will be replaced.
But overall, customer service reps are a weak joke. Without a comedy stage.
Kko them, "AI will replace customer service reps."
Kko the others, "But AI can't do the job properly. We need human touch. Customer problems are not being fixed."
Kermit and I sip our Liptons because we know human customer service reps were just as useless as AI.
