I first learned of Joe Kent's resignation as an ordinal / inscription on the bitcoin ledger. I will update this post with that link if I can find it. Crazy shit.
These latest attacks on bitcoin are by lazy killjoys and haters that lack imagination. I am disappointed why many bitcoin spaces waste time defending these wild accusations or even mention them. Oh yeah… content by any means I guess. So sad.
The dollar lost 12% in 2025. Wow. More than ever Americans need to save and invest. Young Americans need a financial game plan or they will end up like most generations living one pay check away from being homeless. Even with the huge draw downs of bitcoin, I remind myself of what I have and it stills makes me feel prepared for the future.

You don't have to be "technical" to be against increasing OP_RETURN. Creative people who make a living out of The Bitcoin Community can be firmly against increasing OP_RETURN because there are two aspects of the debacle, one of which should be enough to persuade.
The first part of the OP_RETURN debacle is technical and the other part is ethical.
People who are technical can argue both the technical and ethical sides. The Ethical side however is a sufficient stand alone argument to reject increasing OP_RETURN.
The ethical argument goes like this...
* Bitcoin is a financial information network only
* Large OP_RETURN sizes are not required to operate it
* Making other users store pornography is unethical
* Using other user's gear to store files is unethical
* Putting users at risk of prosecution for storing porn
* Change was forced on network by unethical actors
These arguments alone are sufficient to cause any ethical person to understand that the OP_RETURN fiasco is completely wrong. They don't have to regurgitate Core Logic, cite the holy White Paper or do any of the other fallacious things to argue the position.
Anyone who has a wife and children also should have no trouble at all making the argument against increasing OP_RETURN; all they have to do is imagine their loved ones "inscribed" forever by some bad actor or troll.
The financial incentives to be on the Core side are great. if the Ordinals and Inscribers and OP_RETURN people are also running the conferences that pay you, you are more than likely to side with them even if they are wrong and against Bitcoin. Bitcoiners are not goin to rally together to pay your mortgage or feed your family; you alone are responsible for that.
So the choices are simple, but difficult. Should you side with the conference organizers that glom on to every fad, even if those fads are destructive to Bitcoin, or should you risk your livelihood to side with the plebs who have no money and will not support you even if they did?
It's a tough one!

We just received notice from our partner provider that all #DolphinCards have been suspended. This was abrupt and unexpected. We’re very sorry for this disruption.
Your funds are safe, and all beta users will be refunded. The team is sorting out details with the provider right now exactly on how it should be done. Communications on refunds will be handled by email (your JAN3 Account).
If you have recurring payments on the Dolphin Card, you should switch to another card to ensure no disruption to subscriptions.
We are looking at finding a replacement provider and will bring the cards back as soon as possible.
Thanks for your understanding and sorry again. 🙏
Samson Mow is having a nervous breakdown over zcash. Arrogant dick doesn't even open his comments. That speaks volumes. Is your leader still selling you God candles? What a joke. Who's a shill? Grow up dude.
A bitcoiner telling you that zcash , a bitcoin fork but private, is a shit coin?#! That is some hilarious "bitcoin derangment syndrome" I am 80% btc to 20% zec. Because I understand the need for a private btc. The Layer 2 lighting network ain't it! Don't be a moron and miss this.
When people like @Excellion telling his bitcoin friends that zcash is not needed, it's time to buy zcash. You can't find 4 people in any "Bitcoin Today" spaces that have ever used the lighting network. PERIOD. It's that good? Why risk your privacy on an un-adopted L2 since 2015?

Is your hardware wallet software up to date? How about your wallet firmware? These are the things "bitcoiners" should be telling you. This shit is important. I even know doomers that aren't ready. It's shocking. Not criticism, just help.
Next, go buy as much zcash as you can afford and set up a recurring buy, then go hike the Appalachian Trail from end to end.
If you can afford to purchase 1 bitcoin, I urge you to do so now. Over 19 of 21 million bitcoin are gone. I can't express the financial significance of owning 1 bitcoin. Time to be a "wholecoiner" is running out. Your goal should be 1 not .1
