Daily App Store tip: Does your app require an account? Give App Review everything they need to access it. If they need special credentials, instructions or configuration, put it in the Review Notes.

Just received an email to be featured in a Podcast…and I can’t find it anywhere. Cold emailing is sometimes very curious.

I know everyone is talking about the updated guideline 2.5.19, but I don’t think this is the most important one. I can’t believe they only created one regarding human trafficking and children. What was happening there?

Daily App Store tip: Have a personal developer account? For some apps, Apple may ask for a demo video to help review functionality that’s difficult to reproduce. Be ready to provide one, and mention it in your Review Notes.

Daily App Store tip: Before submitting, check whether your app looks too similar to existing apps. Apple has specific guidelines around spam and saturated categories. Make your differentiation obvious.

Starting to receive the instructions for the Shippies, thank you for the dress code recommendations @RevenueCat 👌 (Still didn’t win, but too happy to participate)

Daily App Store tip: App Review times aren't fully predictable. Sometimes it’s quick. Sometimes it takes longer. If you have a deadline, submit early and leave yourself some buffer.

Not all emails are positive, not all news are positive. But, I’m glad I participated in this hackathon! Ventilate is still available on the AppStore, and I hope it will continue helping everyone facing warm temperatures, no matter where they live. #shipaton

Today, I was at the Dev With Ai conference in Paris, talking about my experience of developing apps, with 18 months of difference in the era of AI. Thank you everyone who was there!

Daily App Store tip: Your screenshots need to sell the experience. Don’t just show the UI. Explain what the user gets from it, using the language they might actually search for.

Daily App Store tip: Reviews matter. Ask happy users for a review when they’ve just experienced something valuable in your app. A good moment is usually better than a random prompt. Follow for more lessons from 10 years of shipping apps.

Daily App Store tip: TestFlight isn’t just for finding crashes. Watch someone use your app without explaining anything. Where do they hesitate? What do they misunderstand? That feedback is gold.

Daily App Store tip: One of my favorite TestFlight routines: Send the beta to a few users every day. Even 3 users can give you valuable feedback and help catch bugs before App Review does.

I'm pleased to announce v2.0 of my SwiftUI Pro agent skill! It's packed with improvements based on real-world testing of iOS 27 and iPhone Duo, and also integrates a variety of advice from Apple's own skills. Get it here: github.com/twostraws/swiftui…

Apparently apple is looking for apps compatible with the iPhone Duo. That’s probably the best moment to request a nomination!

Guys, I don't know how to tell you this, but when you build a website with AI, it doesn't need to be updated. There's no core PHP app serving the website 24/7 that is full of possible vulnerabilities that need to be patched. There's no theme with vulnerabilities that need to be patched. There are no plugins with vulnerabilities that need to be patched. Even if you have some kind of underlying CMS, if you do it right, there's no need to worry about constantly updating anything. The website being served is just HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I'm telling you guys, you just don't know how much of a pain in the ass WordPress is until you stop using it. We've all been desensitized to what is required to maintain a WordPress website. Sometimes you don't know how heavy your backpack is until you take it off.

Daily App Store tip: Before submitting your app, let someone else use it. TestFlight is perfect for this. You know your app too well. A new user will find things you never noticed.
