though, no matter what #they say, he isn't makarov's dad to me... i think of archer as an imran zakhaev type of character (if we want to push the father and son narrative) who took makarov under his wing when he joined the army a few years after his real father's death.

worse thing to come out of that fucking ""plot twist"" is that now i can't make makarov have a complicated, inappropriate relationship with the archer pre-MW4 ... they stole my opportunity to make julian and mads kiss in my head

imagine if archer was mak's business partner who financially contributed to konni but mid mw4 he tries to take control of it for personal gain... and so makarov "sides up" with price momentarily to bring him down, like they did in the og mw2 against shepherd. like. just imagine.
