Thanks to everyone helping shape #bashunit. This release was developed by @Chemaclass and @JesusValeraDev.
⚡️ Performance improvements
This release makes bashunit noticeably faster and lighter:
• Temporary directories are created once at startup
• Parallel execution uses native Bash redirection instead of spawning tail
• Internal state values are cached to reduce subshell calls
🔧 CI updates
The CI matrix is now simpler and future proof:
• Using only *-latest runners for Ubuntu and macOS
• Dropped the deprecated macos-13 runner
🪲 Bug fixes that improve correctness
• Mocked functions now receive arguments properly
• set_up and tear_down correctly capture intermediate failures
More stable, more predictable, more reliable.
