SF is a 7x7 sq mile area residing over 800k+ people. SoCal is a huge area residing over 20 million people. Hard to compare. But to me, I prefer the ability to swim in the ocean in the summer without a wetsuit! Feels amazing. To each their own…

Did surgery yesterday Short story, got some benign stuff growing in the wrong spots, yikes caused a lot of pain, so they cut me open, took a bunch of em out a few more to go. Now I’m in pain, can’t really sleep, but I’m recovering. ps. did not sell my kidneys 😂 ✌🏼

The Tesla demo was incredible! but, if you make software, this @OpacityHQ demo is JUST as crazy! YOUR codebase, connected to the canvas IN REALTIME! Edit from the canvas, and your codebase is INSTANTLY updated! Works in local, dev, or (dare I say) prod! No waiting for AI to code out your components, no dev mode, no copy/paste. Real code components, in real-time.

too cool to see stuff like this being made. worked on something similar for the zoah (@OpacityHQ) motion stuff i've been doing. i've always felt more at-home in design tooling and canvas based UIs than in video/motion based stuff. so, i built a little something. brings the familiar patterns of design tooling to the world of video/animation! best part is—you just prompt to do any kind of heavy editing! check it out! 🗣️ go build things you want to exist!

Thinking about the measure of potential entropy in code bases. What do I mean by potential entropy? Current working definition is how likely the next code change is to reduce coherence and increase emergence. Agents tend to amplify entropy where entropy already exists.

Agents rarely create entropy from nothing. They mostly make existing ambiguity expensive at machine speed.

I agree, if I understand you well, then it’s the cost of ambiguity. That’s a real cost, extra time and tokens, and its consequences can impact the entire business. Not knowing what the next step is, and having a clear direction, is a momentum killer.

a weird inversion with LLMs is the models improve faster than the tinkerers when i see people with custom workflows and setups they're all addressing problems that don't exist anymore the person naively using vanilla codex is more likely to be experiencing state of the art
