AI makes writing code twice easy, but your team still maintains twice the code.
So go native where it really matters and share the rest from one source of truth. Agents speed up both.
KMP lets you make that choice layer by layer, feature by feature. You draw the boundary.

Iâve alwayâs thought itâs a shame that WebAssembly has the word âwebâ in it. Gives it a connotation that itâs âonly for browsersâ or something.
Meanwhile, NASAâs over here with a flight-compliant derivative (SpaceWASM) intended for spacecraft!
The intent is writing mission software to a standardized bytecode, where the end platform / ISA is otherwise arbitrary. In other words, run the same mission package on ARM, Rad-hard PowerPC, RISC-V, whatever.
Thus, after-flight you could (safely) upload new payloads with âapprovedâ APIs.
Weird to think about, but just like buggy WASM code shouldnât crash your browserâŚthe same logic applies to not crashing your critical flight hardware.

It probably seems like a technicality at this point, given how everything has been clearly about Compose for many years now. However, it's still great to see Android making it even more official that they're Compose-first!
