They’ve done it again. Another hidden US base, exposed by… journalists!!! This one being assembled on Cocos Islands, off the WA coast.
The new @DeclassifiedAus article assembles the evidence to show how — in unpublicised increments — Australia’s Cocos Islands territory is being converted into as base to support US military operations. Size of US naval base in Perth to double — as US treats Australia like an occupied country, which is accurate. “The number of US personnel being sent over would balloon from 1200 to 2300 by 2030.” ‘HMAS Stirling: WA base is a nuclear target under #AUKUS news.com.au/technology/innov…

🚨 We warned you. @DeclassifiedAus has published over past months extensive details on the secret use of commercial couriers, carriers and airlines to transport lethal F-35 fighter jet parts bound for Israel — including through Bangkok and most recently through the United States. ▪️Some F-35 parts headed to the United Sates that went via Hong Kong have now subsequently gone ‘missing’. ▪️Not only are the parts vulnerable to theft — but they also put the passengers and civilian staff of the carriers at potential risk of attack. ▪️Dept of Defence has now twice declined to answer questions put to them by @DeclassifiedAus — to ask what precautions they are taking to protect Australian civilians and others exposed to risk by these military parts shipments. ▪️More importantly, neither have they explained why, given credible charges of genocide, they are continuing to approve exports of F-35 jet parts to Israel. theguardian.com/world/2026/s… Read the Declassified revelations — declassifiedaus.org/2026/08/…

We could stage a protest at a different US military base—or facility, or installation, or co-located site—every weekend & we’d still be busy at it this time next year. ‘Give the land back!’ has never been so urgent a plea. @ICAN_australia @IPAusNet @WagePeaceAU @MAPW_Australia
To the gates to the massive US Pine Gap satellite surveillance base in Central Australia, traditional owners walked up to deliver a letter of demands to the base. They were not allowed in to deliver it in person, so had to hand it to the Australian police guarding the Americans inside. 👉 If you couldn’t be there this time, a vigilant Declassified Australia @DeclassifiedAus correspondent Anisha Pillarisetty @nishkinsilk was there, and brought this report back for you. It is indeed a 'base' for war. Darwin-based US Marine rotation force, consisting of thousands of US Marines, a Marine Air Wing & Amphibious ships, is now operating on exercises in and out of Darwin far north into countries of south-east Asia. defence.gov.au/news-events/n…

It’s our second oldest US military base. But it’s shelf life seems to be getting shorter in direct relationship to the Chinese preparedness to defend itself from aggressive actions of the Americans inside Pine Gap.
THE MYTH OF A ‘JOINT’ PINE GAP While Washington sets the priorities and commands decision-making, Australian operational staff at the base are outnumbered by Australian 'guards and gardeners'. declassifiedaus.org/2026/07/… @ICAN_australia @NuclearBan @IPAusNet @WagePeaceAU @BaseWatchAU @OzAntiBases @MAPW_Australia @WarPowersReform @DeclassifiedAus

Great job by @DavidShoebridge Left unsaid is the fact that the Defence Minister has to sign off on ADF personnel participating in US operations. Third country deployments require Ministerial sign-off. I issued an FOI seeking Ministerial sign off related documents which was refused with a statement that Defence neither affirmed or denied the existence of documents. The Admiral’s evidence strongly indicates that Ministerial directives should have been issued for the participation of Australian defence personnel in the illegal US/Israel war on Iran. The Admiral said the instructions tell personnel what they can and can’t do. So why is there a problem in releasing those authorities if they are consistent with Government statements from time to time and more broadly with our obligations under international law? #auspol #SenateEstimates

Hi there legends! Look what just dropped — a little truth bomb!!
The Russians know. The Chinese know. But Australians are NOT allowed to know. That’s the trouble with ‘democracy’ — if the people know the truth of what’s really going on, they might want to change it. AUSTRALIA’S SECRET EMBRACE OF U.S. NUCLEAR PLANNING declassifiedaus.org/2026/06/…
