🔴 REPORT: Texas taxpayers have spent $3.3 million providing security for Attorney General Ken Paxton during nearly 1,000 trips since he took office in 2015.
🛩️ Only a fraction of that in security expenses could be connected to documented official state business as he visited 36 states and 19 countries.
🚔 Paxton’s office says he faces serious security threats because of his work fighting cartels and violent criminals. Texas law allows the attorney general to receive state-funded protection.
💬 In response, James Talarico released the following statement:
“Ken Paxton abused his public office to amass 15 homes and increase his net worth by up to $27 million on a government salary. Now, new reporting has revealed that he took nearly 1,000 trips on the taxpayer’s dime.
Working Texans are already struggling to afford the basics. They don’t need Paxton picking their pockets to fund his luxury vacations.
I am calling on Ken Paxton to immediately return the $3.3 million in taxpayer funds he used for his personal travel.”

Today, Greg Abbott lowered Texas flags to half-staff for the THIRD anniversary of the October 7 attack in Israel.
On the third anniversary of Uvalde, where nineteen Texas children and two Texas teachers were slaughtered in a Texas elementary school. he DID NOT lower the flags to half-staff. He didn’t even mention it.
Apparently, Israeli children are more important to Greg Abbott, than Texas children.
