Epic Games just open sourced Lore : a next-gen version control system, built 81.6% in Rust. 🦀
It's already running in production: Lore is the built-in version control system for UEFN (Unreal Editor for Fortnite).
Why a new VCS at all? Git wasn't built for huge binary assets : textures, meshes, audio, at game-studio scale. Lore is designed for that from the ground up.
