ALT "We've never seen any other transit agency in the country have such a reaction to potential discussion of their system, especially in spaces where free speech and debate are encouraged. It's unfortunate that this is the reality people in the Silicon Valley who simply want to discuss their local transit system have to deal with. In a region full of innovation, they are instead choosing the regressive option that locks them away from an engaged community. At Catenary, we strongly believe in social media’s potential to connect riders with agencies, and it’s disappointing to see an agency outright reject free discussion of their system in any forum, much less a forum that has built up such a strong community of passionate transit fans. We hope VTA will reconsider this decision."
