A very important article in BBC News about use of state security police and laws to suppress climate protest in #auspol Australia.
AUS govt is presenting image internationally of re-engaging on climate action, in reality is supporting more coal and gas. bbc.com/news/world-australia…

BREAKING: Trump Junior becomes an international embarrassment as Australia’s Prime Minister accuses him of lying about the REAL reason why he canceled his scheduled “anti-woke” event in Australia.
After Trump Jr. blamed it on being denied a visa, Australia’s Prime Minister just revealed that “a lack of enthusiasm” and “poor ticket sales” led to Trump Junior canceling his own event.
But it gets even more embarrassing for Trump’s son…
Australia’s Home Minister then piled on Trump Junior, accusing him of being “a sore loser” just like “his dad,” declaring that Trump Junior is “a big baby who isn’t very popular” and confirming that Trump Junior DID get a visa, but “now he’s trying to blame the Australian Government for his poor ticket sales.”
There you have it folks. Not only is Trump Junior an embarrassment in America — he is now also an international laughing stock.
Please retweet and ❤️ to thank the Australian Prime Minister for setting Trump Junior straight — and consider investing in Tribel, a “woke” new Twitter competitor that is currently doing a round of equity crowdfunding and just blew past $2.5 million raised from 6,300 of its users. If you want to own a small piece of what is quickly becoming the “next big thing” in social media, here is the link to do so, wefunder.com/Tribel. You can invest as little as $100 — or as much as you’d like. Here’s the link to download the new Tribel app that Elon Musk is so afraid of: tribel.app.link/okwPIHYCIqb

All that Thatcherite pish we’ve had spewed from the media for 40 years about how privatization was going to cut costs for the consumer and save the taxpayer millions.
It is what it’s always been: a scam for the super rich shareholders of these companies to shaft the citizen.

Melbourne lose to Geelong after looking like the best team in the comp a week ago, Brisbane win away from the Gabba, West Coast are the worst team ever and nearly all of the comp are a chance of finals.

Simon Crean told the parliament in the presence of Pres Bush that the true measure of friendship was to tell a friend when they were wrong. And they were wrong on the Iraq war. He was right. Yet he became the only Labor leader never to contest an election.

Putin’s problem is that up to now Prigozhin’s Wagner Group has been the most effective Russian force fighting in Ukraine. Now it’s turned against him.

It’s hard to say goodbye to #Fantales, but to your homeland because of conflict/violence? A bit harder, I think.
On Tues, #WorldRefugeeDay, over 90% more people in Aus searched Fantales than they did #refugees*. Take that in. Gets stuck in your teeth, doesn’t it?
