Love the reference to independent thinkers and first principles. @McConaughey might be ready to go down the Bitcoin rabbit hole.
Remember when AOL only allowed a certain number of minutes online per month?
This is what weekly token usage caps feel like today.
If you’re a Bitcoiner and this doesn’t fire you up, I don’t know what will.

Some nuance here, @JTLonsdale and @SquawkCNBC, In the 1870s we had a sound monetary system based on Gold. The dollar couldn’t be debased. inflation was 0.1%, which helped create wealth for everyone, not just asset owners. Today’s unsound monetary system (averaging 7% dollar debasement annually) tips the scales towards asset owners with leverage/debt that can be inflated away. I am a fan of AI and robotics, but let’s also fix the money system (one of humanities most important technologies) while we’re at it.
🚨NEW: @JTLonsdale & @SquawkCNBC clash on AI and wealth inequality.
Joe Lonsdale: 2030s is the disinflation decade... we're all going to be really wealthy if we don't break this.
Joe Kernen: Everybody's going to get wealthier? Because only the wealthy have been getting wealthier...
Joe Lonsdale: That's not true. Let's go back: 1870 to 1900, the Second Industrial Revolution, the last time productivity shot up a lot, the average American, the average working class American, was twice as wealthy in real terms within one generation...
Andrew Ross Sorkin: Tell me where you land on "We've got to slow everything down, because if we don't, we could end up dying...
Joe Kernen: or worse...
Joe Lonsdale: or worse, the companies go bankrupt
Andrew: versus we've got to go full steam ahead. No matter what. No matter what the case.
Joe Lonsdale: I love the meme where it's Dario and Sam saying, please regulate us. And Trump says, keep building, nerds.
These companies have a lot of liabilities. These companies need to slow down if they see themselves causing damage. I'm not worried about any existential risks in the near term. I 100% could see these companies accidentally causing some problems with hacking with cyber, for example.
They have a responsibility to slow down themselves, and we should be holding them liable if they cause any damage. And so it makes sense that they would be very careful about that. But we were just talking...
2030s is disinflation decade. We're going to all be really wealthy if we don't break this. So don't slow down too much is my view.
Joe Kernen: Go back to this again. You told me that 2030s are going to be the decade of disinflation. We're going to all get rich, and we're not going to need to raise taxes, and we're going to start growing faster. The deficit will come under control. This is going to happen?
Joe Lonsdale: The AI is really good for rooting out fraud and grift in the government. It's really going to bring down health care costs dramatically. It's amazing for bringing back manufacturing. We have companies already bringing back lots of manufacturing here. That's only about to accelerate.
We're at what's called a GPT-3 moment right now for robotics, right. World models, which are a new type of AI -- how do things move and interact in the real world in general terms...
Joe Kernen: So this will help one of our most daunting fears of the $40 trillion and the out of control deficits we're running now, this will come under control from AI?
Joe Lonsdale: If you get productivity up to 3, 4 or 5%, what you 100% should be able to do with these things, if not significantly higher, that solves the deficit problem.
This is an amazing thing for a civilization; this is the answer is to get growth higher, and it's how everyone gets wealthier, it's doing more with less. It's going to do it.
Joe Kernen: Everybody's going to get wealthier? Because only the wealthy have been getting wealthier...
Joe Lonsdale: That's not true. Let's go back: 1870 to1900, the Second Industrial Revolution, the last time productivity shot up a lot, the average American, the average working class American, was twice as wealthy in real terms within one generation.
And that's what happens when productivity goes up. Everyone gets wealthier. We we teach economics very poorly in this country.
Build the bridge. Stand on the bridge.
This is how Carnegie was able to get people to trust in Steel.
Digital Credit built on Bitcoin gets the same test.
$SATA and $STRC
Never miss a dividend.
Transparent governance.
No debt.
Boring on purpose.
Metronomic patience.
That’s how @ColeMacro and @saylor will earn trust, year, after year, after year.
I have done the homework and they have my trust; both are leaders that have been through "the crucible" over the years and have come out tempered.
As a result, I will happily put my parents and family members into these products.
Digital Credit returns will become the new hurdle rate for TradFi. It will just take time and seasoning.

Excited to announce that we're shipping LightTwist publicly!
LightTwist lets you record and stream in a realistic virtual studio, even if your guests and co-hosts are remote.
$STRC from @Strategy is working as designed, it’s just being fine tuned right now.
Iterative loops for financial products require some patience.
I anticipate a dividend increase to 12% at end of June in accordance with its own guidelines:
* Below $95 VWAP: +50 bps or more.
* $95–$98.99: +25 bps or more.
* $99–$100.99: Generally no change (discretion for ±25 bps).
* $101+: Potential decrease (capped by SOFR floors).
STRC VWAP is at $93.15 right now.
I also expect $MSTR to hit the ATM on days of BTC strength to continue to replenish the USD reserve.
It’s clear the market really appreciated an 18-24 month USD reserve. I would recommend a 4 year USD reserve, just to have an extra engineer’s factor of safety, and to attract the more conservative fixed income investors.
A 4 year USD reserve that lasts through both a halving and a US presidential administration would be hard to argue with.
Wow. @saylor just "widened the pipes"
With the new Omnibus update, $MSTR can now execute block trades and hit the bid 24/7 via multiple agents for $STRC
TradFi hours are officially dead. The Bitcoin acquisition pump from Fixed Income -> Digital Credit is now always-on. ⚡️ $BTC
Strategy has acquired 17,994 BTC for ~$1.28 billion at ~$70,946 per bitcoin. As of 3/8/2026, we hodl 738,731 $BTC acquired for ~$56.04 billion at ~$75,862 per bitcoin. $MSTR $STRC strategy.com/press/strategy-…

Bitcoin links its value to real world compute, energy usage and proof of work.
For hard money, this is a feature not a bug.
2025: 1 bitcoin buys 1 hr of 1 GW nuclear reactor time
2035: 1 bitcoin buys 35 hrs of nuclear reactor time
Plan accordingly.

Things I’d do differently as a 2nd time founder:
1) Stop being CEO the second I’m no longer best qualified or stop enjoying the role
2) Prioritize way more ruthlessly
3) Hire via freelance-to-full time way more frequently
4) Use EOS on day 1
5) Create a personal operating manual for teammates like @chughesjohnson
6) Set an expectation of Radical Candor (h/t @kimballscott) with all employees as part of onboarding
7) Raise $ via an SPV vs collecting 28 individual checks and docs
8) Spend more time talking to customers
9) Use @storyarb to help me create content so I can focus more time on building
10) Have 2 no-call days per week
11) Issue C-Corp shares ASAP so the QSBS timer starts
12) Monthly temperature checks with co-founder
13) Hire someone who handles ops/HR earlier
14) “Traction” and “15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership” are required reading
15) Use @focusmate for deep work sessions
Answer: Implement EOS.
“What can I put in place so that I can go completely off the grid for 4 to 8 weeks?”
To entrepreneurs who are feeling burned out, this is also the question I pose most often.
Two weeks isn’t enough, as you can let fires erupt and then attempt to repair things when you return. Four to eight weeks (or more) doesn’t allow you to be a firefighter. It forces you to put systems and policies in place, ditch ad-hoc email-based triage, empower other people with rules and tools, separate the critical few from the trivial many, and otherwise create a machine that doesn’t require you behind the driver’s wheel 24/7.
Here’s the most important point: The systems far outlive the vacation, and when you come home, you’ll realize that you’ve taken your business (and life) to the next level.
This is only possible if you work on your business instead of in your business, as Michael Gerber might say.
