Full-circle moments rarely get wilder than this.
On my way home this afternoon, I got some urgent work calls and messages, so I hopped off the train to handle them on the spot instead of dealing with it at home.
As I was walking past The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, I saw this massive line of people waiting for a taping - it seemed bigger than usual. Cameras were set up across the street, which instantly caught my eye. For some reason, I grabbed my phone and recorded a short clip, assuming someone big was going to be the guest (though it’s hard to top Mr. Spielberg).
I went on with my day… Then later while scrolling, I saw it: they were taping the FINAL episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert earlier today. I was even more glad I had the footage. But then it really hit me - I had actually been sitting in that very studio audience for the episode where Stephen made the joke that ended up getting him canceled. It was the same day Noah Cyrus was the musical guest (they taped two episodes). The woman right next to me told me, “She’s Miley Cyrus’s sister.” That helped because I had zero clue who Noah was at the time, but Miley was my high school crush.
That was quite a day. Sorry for Stephen, but I’m sure he’ll be more than fine. I’m glad to have been part of this history.
What a day to be in the right place at the right time! Who else has a Late Show story?
The end of an era, no doubt.

This one's from yesterday.
Today’s the last day.
Let's see what's up.

Post: Adobe Camera Raw + Photoshop (LUT)
Street photography:
Layered New York City streets.
Couldn’t pick a final so I posted the variants: SOOC, color edit, and B&W.
Also included a quick timelapse of the edit. I screen recorded the whole editing process and used Claude in DaVinci Resolve to produce a 1:1 cut where image will be visible the whole time.
Massive timesaver. This kind of video editing used to take hours - now it’s basically background work.
The less time spent staring at a screen, the better.

I was gonna rewatch Digger today, but this morning my account got suspended because I posted a photo from a movie theater while I was reflecting on the film.
I tried not to be affected by it, but I’m sitting in a theater about to watch Heart of the Beast. Not that I’m not gonna watch a film again, but hitting stuff like that under an honest review is just low. Nothing would be done if copyright existed circa early 1900s.
With that, no more photos. Congrats WB on removing content promoting your sinking films.
At the 89th annual Pulaski Day Parade the sky stayed gray - Fifth Avenue went White and Red.
A little rain wasn't going to stop it...
DaVinci Resolve 21 + Claude.
I stated the look before play started:
what to watch for and what the final frame should be.
Layout came from the prompt. Source was over 7.5 hours: GAMEPLAY, FACE CAM, DJI MIC 2 (unsynchronized).
I asked Claude for a slick cut - dropped loading screens, menus, and fail screens; No fail cut landed at ~117 mins.
DJI MIC 2 voice over was gained up and game audio ducked under it.
All that from a few prompts and me saying to a face cam what I want.
Started around 8 PM last night, took a break around 11 PM to sleep, woke up before 5 AM, jumped back into it after about an hour for breakfast and coffee, and now it's before 10:40 AM and I'm about to watch the fully exported 1h56mins cut. Wild!
I tested AI editing today, and I'm honestly shocked.
I gave it over 7 hours of raw GTA Vice City Definitive Edition footage:
PS5 gameplay, a facecam of me playing (I’m projecting a 150-inch image onto an empty wall),
and my voice on a DJI Mic 2.
None of it was synced.
In under 3 hours, Claude Code working inside DaVinci Resolve Studio 21 had:
- synced all three sources
- cut it down to 3 hours of continuous gameplay
- produced 130+ short clips of my best reactions and moments
They're not perfect, but I've seen worse on TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
I haven't even finished the game yet. This was just a test.
The amount of time this saves is insane!
I saw the latest AI integration in DaVinci Resolve 21 and figured I’d train it while relaxing - I need the rest.
I started using the PS5 I bought last year. I have the original trilogy Definitive Edition for PS4. The plan was to record myself playing, beat each game, and let DaVinci work with the footage.
GTA III got too difficult, and my setup was still in testing mode, so I didn’t pull much from it beyond over 200 GB of footage. After crossing 50% in GTA III, I moved on to Vice City. The setup is better now, so that’s what I’m editing. It works better overall, and this process is just warming me up for GTA VI gameplay.
This is a screen grab of me playing, transferred onto a GTA loading screen graphic. I might share some thoughts once Claude produces a few outputs.
Burning tokens for a correct take makes me feel like David Fincher.
Four tries today for a workable take - not bad, but I need to get my groove on.
Without going to too many details - still developing my epic western saga. Stay tuned.

I watched Digger earlier today. Damn. Glad I saw it on IMAX and stayed through the end. Last take was pretty powerful. I read it as it has to get worse before it gets better, and that tracks with everything going on right now. I laughed from a few jokes, didn’t really love or hate the movie. Log-looking footage begged for more contrast - just my taste, didn’t hurt the film.
I’m pretty sure Tom Cruise did his own stunt at the end - Mission Impossible training got him ready for stuff like that.
Another day of misadventures, but I handled everything and even got some extra benefits.
Nervous system back to normal, so I’m regaining the willingness to watch The Digger with Tom Cruise today… gotta eat something first.
25 years later, we live in a completely different world, but we’ll never forget September 11, 2001.
I moved to NYC a week after the 2012 anniversary and have captured Tribute in Light almost every year since 2013.
NYC is my home now and will stay strong regardless of current conditions.
I didn’t have much time to look for better photos. Not sure of the year or camera, but I took this. Tribute in Light, circa early 2020s.
Any analog photographers out here?
I'm just wondering how far are you willing to push your photos in post these days?
It’s been a minute since the last time I developed a film roll (late 2025, I think).
Over 2/3 years since I last properly scanned a negative.
I usually outsource the developing and handle the scanning and editing myself. That’s my process.
Life in New York picks up speed at random times so it’s hard to keep up with all the passion projects. That’s why I haven’t done much with the rolls I shot over a decade, so it's safe to say I'm currently sitting on thousands of unscanned images. As I’m organizing my files - I found a folder with hundreds of photos already scanned, grabbed one and did a quick edit in Photoshop. Not the minimalistic one I usually do with film. Went a little extra this time and I gotta say, I don’t mind this type of edit from film. Whatcha you guys think?
I don't remember the camera I used,
but I can provide you with a film stock as you can read on the scan below: KODAK 400TX.

Lately I’ve been walking around more without my camera - just observing the world around me and making notes on what I’ve noticed.
I always knew it’s important for street photography to do both, but I hung up my cameras as I’m categorizing years of my work into a library that makes sense. So instead of adding to it or giving up being outside, I try to maximize the opportunity and level up my wordcraft.
If you want to be a better street photographer, it’s crucial to put down a camera and pick up a pen every once in a while.

First time at a Yankees game. I ain’t gonna lie, I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Seinfeld Night. Came to grab the George Costanza bobblehead and bounce - only slept two hours and I was already tired. Then I hit the gate and didn’t wanna leave. I live 15 minutes away, so I figured I’m already here. Might as well watch some baseball.
I’m sure George would’ve done the same thing… 😅 – at Bronx, NY
