Streaming used to be about bringing people together and having fun gaming. Getting paid came from building a real community who view and support your content.
Now a days it seems like everyone thinks they should be paid for just pushing the "GO LIVE" button.

The GTA 6 ad aired again multiple times today during the Heat vs Timberwolves game, featuring the launch trailer.
This is probably why Rockstar revealed it earlier than usual, allowing them to run TV ads alongside social media ads, and a user actually leaked the plan for a TV spot weeks ago.
Here’s a direct comparison between the trailer and the TV ad version, which has a few slight differences.

YouTube is finally starting to roll out the ability for viewers to customize their own feeds.
As viewers become more intentional about what they want to watch, it’s more important than ever for creators to make their content easy to discover.
Some of the streamers I see absolutely killing it on YouTube right now aren’t using overedited thumbnails or crazy titles designed to trick someone into clicking.
They’re just making it incredibly clear what their content is and who it’s for.
Think about this.
If someone wants to watch a chill Call of Duty stream in the evening, or have a specific game playing in the background while they work, how easy are you making it for YouTube to recognize that your content is exactly what they’re looking for?
That’s the part I think a lot of creators overlook.
It’s not always about getting EVERYONE to click. It’s about making sure the RIGHT people can find you.
Titles, thumbnails, descriptions, and the actual content itself all play a role in helping YouTube understand who your videos are for.
This has always been important, but as viewers gain more control over what appears in their feeds, I think it’s only going to become more important.
Stop thinking about how to get your video in front of everyone. Start thinking about how to become exactly what someone is looking for.

I don't think every creator needs to become an entrepreneur.
Some people just want to make great things.

The creator economy should create more options for creators.

My advice to any Creator is to surround yourself with friends who want you to succeed
- Friends who ask about your next video
- Friends who don’t let you be lazy
- Friends who help u hit goals
- Friends who show interest
I hope everyone finds people like this. The goal should be if your friends win, it feels like YOU won too. And vice versa.

Honest talk:
Some creators came to Kick for a better sub payout.
Some came for a fresh start away from Twitch.
Others came due to failing elsewhere.
I've seen everyone from affiliates to Phase partners walk away. I've seen numerous folks crash out on X over payouts and bad PR.
And I've seen people debate on if streaming was worth it to them anymore.
Ask yourself this one question:
Why do you stream?
If the answer is money, then stop streaming and go get a 9-5 that guarantees you money and will definitely pay better than what you may be making now. Those lofty dreams of thousands of dollars in this business come from partnerships and sponsors, not your every day man and woman who only have a few bucks to spare to gift you a sub possibly.
If the answer is for your community and viewers, then stop expecting things from platforms and start viewing them as tools to grow your brand, nothing more. A platform's bad PR doesn't stop you from being able to entertain and bring joy to people who watch you as an escape from every day life.
If the answer is "for the love of the game", then keep going and make sure you go touch some grass from time to time. Burnout is a very real thing and will make you second guess every decision you make.

I think people forget what it's like to be a streamer, big or small. Mistakes happen. More than once sometimes. We're all human
Do what you will with your follows and money, but don't blame the creator who's playing a video game, reading multiple chats, and probably doing some random challenge along with understanding the story of the game... all because you believe your monetarily support deserves a response from the streamer.
