The NMC Chair has just emphatically stated that he will not resign. Many registrants and members of the public have expressly stated no confidence in your leadership as Chair and the Council. They have stated this. Yet, the NMC Council and executive team keep stating that they are a Listening and Learning organisation. Evidence that the NMC is not listening and learning!😫

Hi @patcullen9 - do you agree @Thornton_health nurses are "just workers"? Just incredible from someone who was a CEO in the NHS & also apparently on @nmcnews council. Do the NMC agree with Mr. Thornton that nurses are "just workers" (or indeed any others in his list)? Sad!

Am I alone in thinking it is wrong for consultants to strike? Nurses, paramedics, junior doctors, yes, they are just ‘workers’ but consultants are senior leaders, just like senior managers. They demean themselves by striking.
