But if a new user can’t grasp what it does, why it matters, or how to use it, adoption suffers. Many projects underestimate communication. Good communication is part of the product’s experience.

A few weeks ago, I bagged a mod role. I was excited. Finally, another opportunity to prove myself and grow. Two weeks in, I got a message from the dev saying I looked like a scammer. I won’t lie, that one touched me. I almost started questioning myself. Then I remembered who I am. I knew my intentions. I knew the work I had been putting in. So I didn’t start fighting to prove a point. I didn’t start begging for the role back. I just kept showing up. Kept doing the work. Kept being myself. Eventually, I got the role back. And honestly, that experience taught me something I won’t forget: People don’t only work with people who are skilled. They work with people they can trust. Sometimes, your character will speak for you when you don’t have the words.
