An experienced American prosecutor just stood up in a courtroom in 2026, during a triple-homicide trial, and suggested in her closing argument that a mentally ill woman should have attempted suicide a different way. Our government has become disturbingly comfortable using its power this way. Our healthcare system is broken. Our institutions are failing catastrophically. Cora, Dawson, and Callan should all be alive. Lindsay should not be sitting in this courtroom. She should be mentally well, after receiving adequate treatment, and living with her family. Instead of confronting the systemic failures that helped create the circumstances of their deaths, the government stood before a jury and criticized how Lindsay tried to kill herself. We should all be outraged.

If things are starting to go bad in your head postpartum, the single most important thing you can do is get sleep, and not just a broken hour here and there, but full REM cycles. There is no household task you can do more important than sleeping. Ask for help so you can sleep. Go into debt for a night nurse if that's all you can do. Use the evil cry it out method if your baby is over 3 months. If you're hallucinating either visual or auditory (like hearing a voice saying hurt your kids), you HAVE to get sleep. You don't need psych drugs more than you need sleep. I cannot overstate this. Husbands, move heaven and earth to make sure you wife gets enough sleep postpartum.

The current World Cup fiasco is example #1569 of why I hate the euphemism “Trump’s America” as though Americans by and large don’t have this weird chauvinistic and entitled attitude towards everything.

I did miss my flight & it was okay because they just put me on the next one I always book a double appointment if there is the slightest chance I'm going to be late & yes when I VALUE something I'm more motivated - that's not a bad thing!.

You seem to value clock watching more than friendship & compassion Personally that makes you someone I wouldn't want it my life - it's just such an individual character flaw that I can't reconcile with

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again: the old wisdom of needing time for convalescence was right and it’s been lost in favour of temporary Productivity instead of solidifying long-term health, and it’s hurting us all. often it’s REST that’s most needed and hardest to achieve
GPs in England will no longer issue “sick notes” in NHS trials to reduce the number of people signed off work Occupational therapists and “social prescribers” who recommend job coaching and therapy like exercise or gardening will be used instead to draw up stay in work plans

I love the response to this! Are we really at the point where we're going to finally allow research & experiments on human embryonic tissue? To completely "rewire" the brains & bodies of female zygotes? Yeah I don't see it either! Great headline though
🚨: Chinese biologist Hongmei Wang seeks to extend women's fertile life by making menstruation occur every 3 months. Which would theoretically preserve more eggs and extend the fertile period.

& again The "fertility" crisis is not a crisis - less teenagers are having babies (I was a pregnant teen) & B the "care" crisis isn't biological it's social! If we build the social infrastructure women need to thrive as mothers we wouldn't need biological research!

I will never understand how so many of y’all were hoodwinked into believing the government should not use the money you pay in taxes to create a social safety net that benefits you, fund public healthcare, lower housing costs, and make daily life more affordable.

Brain = body! Your brain is an organ in your body Narration is a uniquely human ability- It's the foundation of how we move through life - including coming to know our bodies You can't understand what a feeling is without language! Language is the gateway to feeling
Feeling your feelings means FEELING them (literally somatically, in the body) not thinking about them. I was confused about this for at least my first 2-3 years of therapy, lol. I’d go there every week and just talk about my interiority (those are thoughts, not feelings).

You intellectualise cause you live in a culture that taught you you're feelings were worthless & where logic is valued The antidote for this socialisation isn't to remove the thinking It's to integrate both to move towards more meaningful & safe understanding & decision making

Because the brain cannot form episodic memory until the age 7 - those deeper brain regions are still developing We have chatter - bits & pieces - that we create narrative around - through stories photos media etc- that we perceive as memory It's not real!

Is it a cohesivebmemory or do you remember reading a book/watching something on TV/hearing someone talk/saw a photo about & you filled in the blanks Developmental psych & decades of research tells me it's the latter

🚨 Iran FM Spokesperson: It is unacceptable that while Iranian people are under bombardment, other countries talk to us about the price of fuel and food! If some countries concerned about fuel prices, they should go to the ones responsible for this situation, #US & its #proxies

Misoprostol is an progesterone antagonist At 22-24 weeks it triggers the process of labour It binds to prostaglandin receptors in the cervix, causing it to soften and dilate. Statistically the research is pretty clear - 50% of pregnancies without feoticide will deliver
Our statement on the media’s distortion in the case of Alexia Moore 🔽

a live baby 22 weeks is a non viable foetus - a spontaneous labour that cannot be stopped & without foeticide will result in a live birth (not a still birth) that will die within a few hours! How are they going to prove that the drug caused cervical dilation & that
1

it wasn't a spontaneous labour because the drug was taken days or weeks before labour She brought the drugs in Nov They assume she took them 12 hours before she went to the hospital But there's no way to tell if it wasn't a spontaneous labour

For women side effects & adverse effects are weighed against the serious health risks of pregnancy For men who cannot physically get pregnant, the threshold for "acceptable risk" is often set much lower by safety committees We suffer more because men cannot get pregnant!
In summary: •A hormonal male contraceptive injection that was 96% effective in preventing pregnancy was halted due to men complaining of side effects. •The side effects (acne, mood changes, libido changes, injection site pain etc.) were very similar to those seen in women’s birth control methods and the overall rate was comparable or lower than that of women’s rate. Yes, lower side effects, but it was still halted! men really have life easy.

Also the "scalpel free" vasectomy has no longer term evidence of reversibility But yeah the risk to us is higher so the benefits of side effects is weighed against the risks associated with pregnancy Sure there's a tonne of medical misogyny but yeah there's a reason!
