We are busy getting ready for the arrival of 11 students for our 2026 Uni Week. Everything is almost ready for them. Thanks to @WestMidBirdClub, @birdsinwales @britishbirds and Wildsounds books for their support and sponsorship. Without your help we would not be able to do this

What started as a normal Saturday morning, began for Ezra quite early (0430!!) as he finished his penultimate breeding bird survey of the year, and the later, the staff all saying goodbye to our guests from last week, and getting ready to clean the Lodge.
I made a quick phone call to Mark Golley @Vaasetter who I know had seen the Cley bird (that I had dipped on) back on 30 May 1993! I sent the back of camera pics to Mark to make sure I wasn’t going mad and about to make an ass of myself before releasing the news!
