A migrant from Pakistan is documenting his journey from Peshawar to Moscow. From Russia, Pakistani migrants are transported to Belarus, where they cross into Europe through Poland or the Baltic states. These trips are advertised on social media. It's a sophisticated system designed to destabilize Europe while simultaneously boosting support for far-right, pro-Kremlin parties such as AfD and Lega.

Netflix has quietly acquired the rights to new seasons of the Russian animated series Masha and the Bear and will stream it in more than 100 countries worldwide. Why is this a problem? Because this isn’t just another children’s cartoon. The series has repeatedly been criticized for promoting a positive image of Russia, normalizing Soviet-era symbols and militaristic themes, and presenting Russian cultural narratives to young audiences around the world. While Russia continues its full-scale war against Ukraine, giving one of the country’s most recognizable cultural exports access to a global audience of millions raises serious questions about what messages are being amplified and why.

Greenland 🇬🇱 is not “a poorly run piece of ice.” Greenland 🇬🇱 is far more than ice — it is a democratic society with free elections, rule of law, and a people who determine their own future. We are not a talking point in someone else’s rhetoric — we are a people with dignity, history, and self-government under the Kingdom of Denmark.

It feels like we’ve reached a point where Donald Trump’s wild antics and outbursts have finally exhausted everyone, and he’s now being told a direct, unambiguous “NO,” nothing more. The humiliating groveling, the streams of flattery, the constant appeasement, the way people spoke to him like a spoiled, difficult child -- all of it only made his unhinged narcissism, volatility, and sense that the world owes him everything even worse. I suspect that as he continues to drag himself down with his own madness and mistakes, people will gradually stop taking him and his social media tirades into account at all.

Correction: The United States wants Russia’s answer on an unconditional withdrawal of Ukraine by Thursday. This Russian-drafted propaganda must be rejected and disregarded for the unserious nonsense that it is. This moment requires Peace Through Strength, not appeasement. Today, we have officially notified both the Clerk of the House and House leadership of our discharge petition to force a vote on crushing Russian sanctions immediately upon our return. #PeaceThroughStrength

Zelensky: We are facing one of the most dangerous periods in Ukrainian history, a choice between losing our dignity and freedom and losing US support. We choose dignity. My answer is my oath of office. I did not betray Ukraine in Feb 2022 and we won’t betray in now.

I have been here for 3 years, training Ukrainian soldiers, standing beside them in freezing trenches, walking through cities hit hours earlier, and attending Ukrainian funerals where families grieve in a way that stays with you. Even I feel that pain. You cannot witness that and stay unchanged. You learn very quickly that Ukrainians are not numbers or headlines. They are people fighting for their homes, their families, and the simple right to live. So when I watch Solovyov melt down on live TV, yelling at his own crew and telling Russians not to pity Ukrainian civilians, it hits hard. It shows exactly how far removed he is from the real cost of this war. He sits in a warm studio and calls innocent people collateral. Meanwhile, I see those same people holding the line with everything they have. I see soldiers who lost a friend a week before but still show up ready to fight. I see families who lost everything except their hope. When someone like him tells the world not to care, it is because caring exposes the truth. Russia speaks with cruelty. Ukraine answers with courage. And that courage terrifies them because it is something they cannot break. Do not let voices like his shape how you see this war. Listen to the people who are here. Listen to the ones who refuse to surrender their country or their dignity. Stand with Ukraine. Stand with the people who keep fighting when the cameras are gone. Slava Ukraini. Heroyam slava. 🇺🇦

They want to ban me from giving a speech on October 23, honoring the 1956 revolutionaries from the steps of the Műcsarnok, as was done at the 1989 reburial of Imre Nagy, leader of the Hungarian Revolution. Even in the final days of the communist dictatorship, they did not stoop as low as the servants of the @PM_ViktorOrban regime do now, trying to prevent a commemorative speech from being delivered at this iconic location. As the owner of the Műcsarnok, the president of the Hungarian Academy of Arts, Attila Turi, clearly acting on political instructions, did not allow a commemorative speech to be held on those steps 36 years after Viktor Orbán called for the withdrawal of Soviet troops from there in 1989. The president cited the excuse that the institution is closed on national holidays. Curiously, this was not an issue in March 2014, when Viktor Orbán was allowed to address the participants of the Peace March from the same location…What are Orbán and his cronies afraid of? Perhaps it would be inconvenient if, at this iconic site, tens of thousands were to chant “Ruszkik haza” — “Russians, go home.”? On behalf of millions of Hungarians, we demand that the director of the Műcsarnok, which is part of our shared heritage, immediately reconsider this petty decision.
Never before has so much feedback come from the TISZA community about an event as for October 23, the anniversary of the 1956 revolution. Now comes the real flood.
