My take on this is that it's an absolutely insane move that probably won't matter due to it being so insanely rare to where I can see maybe no more than 10 people getting it the entire season
It's also clearly a move of desperation to try & pull people away from GTA VI
FREE FORTNITE ITEM SHOPS FEATURE LEAKED
HOW TO GET IT:
• Opening chests in Battle Royale can roll a Treasure Hunt prize
• The "Pirate Shop" is in the prize pool every week
• The odds are unknown as of now, and i don't know if there's a limit.. we'll have to wait for Epic to announce this (things could change)
HOW IT WORKS:
• Winning it gives you 2 activations, one for 2026 & one for 2027
• Once activated, everything sold for V-Bucks in the Item Shop is FREE to claim for 14 days
• The 14 days only start when you press activate
• It's not transferable
WHEN TO ACTIVATE IT:
• 2026 → NOV 1 - DEC 15
• 2027 → JAN 1 - DEC 15
WHAT'S NOT FREE:
• Real money offers
• Gifting
• Battle Pass / pass levels & rewards
• Sidekicks: only 1 free one, and it has to be one you don't own yet

If something is blatantly AI, it's fine to call out.
But when there is little to no actual proof of it, you gotta keep it to yourself and at least research & educate.
If you're right that's cool, if you're wrong you just look like an asshole

The entire NBA/MADDEN 2K game genre always felt so hollow to me.
You spend upwards of $90 on a game every year, and it’s always the same damn game. New roster maybe, but why not make just ONE game that gets updated instead of this?? 😭
NBA 2K25’s servers will be discontinued as of December 31, 2026.

Patrick Stewart was one of my favorite kinds of actors. He could deliver a world class Shakespearean monologue but also if he wanted, the dumbest joke you've ever heard. That why alongside all the classic Xavier speeches, I'm always gonna remember stuff like this.

On this 10th anniversary of Titanfall 2, we want to take a moment to honor Vince Zampella, the CEO / co-founder of Respawn Entertainment.
Vince tragically passed away at the end of 2025, less than 2 weeks after TGA.
Geoff Keighley responded to the heartbreaking news by saying, “Vince never wavered in his commitment to honesty and transparency. He believed that the truth mattered, and he was willing to share it with the world.
Vince was an extraordinary person - a gamer at heart, and a titan of the video game industry."

this is my greatest fear as an anti-ai uefn dev in 2026. if you put out something of extraordinary quality with your bare hands, people WILL assume it's made with ai because of how good it is. the internet's negativity poisoning has finally found itself a good reasoning for hating good games, "but this might be ai even though i have no proof"
With all this AI first nonsense from Epic, stuff like MCP putting out insanely complex Verse systems, and tons of UEFN developers claiming "AI code is okay because [reason]," I can't just trust that something this high quality from a team of unnamed developers is totally AI-free. Obviously, the art side of it is phenomenal and I know for sure that's all human art, but the Verse logic behind the scenes just feels too good to be true.
I'd love to be wrong here, which is why I'd love to figure out who wrote the Verse logic.

I understand being cautious of AI, we all are, but to imply an experienced developer & artist who has actively spoken out against AI could be using it is disrespectful & rude to the time & effort they've put in, especially on a post celebrating their creation.

it's incredibly sad that we had to lose him so soon but I'm just glad he got to see his work release and succeed at the box office. he loved his fans
