HYPE is killing the youth basketball culture! We got kids getting write ups and mixtapes that actually don’t produce much. Then you got kids who grind hard, cook everybody, do all the right things that can’t get any love. This has to STOP!

The amount of kids wanting to play at the next level but avoid getting shots up and don’t hit weights blows my mind.

Instead of spending time focusing on WINNING a championship, do what it takes to BECOME a champion. A champion’s mindset won’t begin & end with games or winning a title. It’s a deep desire to compete: in practice, at home, in the classroom, etc. Excellence is a lifestyle choice!

When season is over, take 1-2 wks off to let your body/mind rest. More isn’t better right now. Focus on spending time w/ family & friends, getting academics on point, extra sleep, eat well, work on flexibility & get with your athletic trainer & take care of any nagging injuries.
