As agency, getting cut off because of client top management change is indeed surprising and hurt.
Worse, the agency sent no alert at all.
Nothing I can do as the agency partner. But yea, life must go on.
Human check point decided the which page/post getting published or not. That's an editorial skills.
AI work the script, human read and edit it to make sure the quality passed.

The extent to which a human being put effort, originality, talent, skill, and accuracy into creating content."
Defying everyone imagination of WordPress downfall 😂
"Entire Internet" on @BuiltWith shows a very different trend than @W3Techs!
However, when you look at just the top 1M, the drop is similar. I wonder if the Google AI Mode effect @Reddit just mentioned dropped 15-20% of @WordPress sites from the top million.
Still can't accept the reality that @stripe isn't available in Indonesia for years. 😔
With the current regyme and geopolitics trends, that dream is blury and fading.

AI bubble.. The money doesn't match with the value it's promised.
I'm curious with the trading bots, how they respond to this.
Every vibe coded copy of premium software are promising free capabilities. Yet it seems the users are not paying solely for it.
They pay for stability, reliability, industry aligment, services, and probably prestige?
That's why enterprise solution often win in open-source model
Vibe coding open possibilities for non tech learning digital engineering. Most would take the most popular route, fastest, fancy, edgy. Rust, Typescript, Go.
For me, I don't know why, I tend to learn something that unfamiliar: elixir.
Ai in branded website is different from human perspective.
AI indeed has the knowledge, the speed of research & confirmation. That's why AI unbeatable in terms of information.
But, branded web for marketing isn't merely information hub. It is communication from human to human.

We have been fans of Erlang and the BEAM ecosystem for years. The actor model and hot reloading are perfect for the current moment in AI, however lack of trustworthy and high performance isolates inside the VM has been the one gap in the ecosystem that held back serious agent development. Today we are releasing HypErlang - smallest, safest and fairest sandbox for the BEAM that runs native Erlang code. Here's to the next 30 years! Link to the repo in replies.

Security called me at 6:12 AM today.
"Patch every PHP server immediately."
I asked what happened.
"Two critical vulnerabilities. Remote code execution. No authentication required."
Cool.
How many PHP servers do we have?
According to inventory: 12
According to reality:
Nobody knows.
We found one running WordPress.
Three running old internal tools.
One under someone's desk.
Two inside vendor appliances.
A forgotten employee directory from 2016.
And a server named:
PHP-OLD-DO-NOT-TOUCH
Naturally, that one runs payroll exports.
Then we found a PHP 5.6 box.
I asked who owned it.
The documentation said:
BRIAN.
Brian left in 2019.
We called Brian.
He said:
"Oh wow, that's still running?"
Excellent.
By 8 AM, leadership joined the incident call.
CEO:
"Can hackers actually get in?"
Security:
"Potentially yes."
CEO:
"Without a password?"
Security:
"Yes."
CEO:
"Then why do WE need passwords?"
Not the lesson.
Finance asked if we could wait until the weekend to patch because downtime affects revenue.
Security explained that the alternative was letting strangers execute code on our servers.
Finance asked for a cost comparison.
At 9:17, someone suggested temporarily taking the vulnerable websites offline.
Marketing refused.
"Our campaign is live."
So for the next hour, the company officially decided maintaining a landing page for 20% off webinar registration was more important than preventing remote server takeover.
We finally patched everything we could find.
Then our scanner discovered another PHP server.
Hostname:
TEMP-PHP-2014
Uptime:
4,512 days.
Nobody knows what it does.
Nobody owns it.
Nobody can shut it down.
But every time we block network access, the warehouse stops printing shipping labels.
Security has classified it as critical infrastructure.
It is running PHP 5.4.
The vulnerability has existed longer than half our employees.
The emergency patch took four hours.
Finding out what PHP actually runs took eleven.
The internet isn't held together with code.
It's held together with servers everyone is afraid to turn off.
Serious scandal? Or it is justified? 🤔

This.. It was Dhh and Ruby gang, now Linus.
AI for coding is unstoppable. The future is revolving.
Adapt. Find new way to mitigate the risk.
Linus Torvalds to the anti-AI crowd: stop using compilers if you want to prove they’re REAL programmers. LOL.
“you had better not use an editor to write that commit message either.
The kind of expectations *I* have is that people do their best and I expect people to understand what they are doing.
But that understanding has very little to do with what tools they use.
And quite honestly, in my experience, the people I respect and call intelligent are not the ones that shy away from using new and interesting tools.”

AI are craving for facts, news and authoritative point of view.
That's why I repeatedly suggest brands to build their newsroom to build authority based on their point of view insights.
This is not entirely new, this is exactly similar with influencer first businesses model.
Many argue that open source doesn't safe. Yet the open source could be the most watched and tested code, when contributors and communities are active.
While closed & company led development rely on business decision. It rely on corporate politics.
You think that is safer?
Will there be in the future AI maintainer? So abandoned services would be irrelevant. Every agent would make sure the reliability of the service and the project. Patch, update and upgrade it based on tickets and issues, even suggested roadmap.
The debate over the fastest agentic language is not over. It's been three days. 😂 Interestingly among Ruby, Elixir, Go and Rust, three of them are lang that I'd like to use.
What a discussion.. Monday just barely start. 😅
Replying to @dhh
> If the agents can't write good Elixir without good steering
Nah, that's not my point.
Within "Rewrite this in Elixir", there are a bunch of non-Elixir decisions that will impact the results. Should you preserve session compatibility? Should you preserve Redis messages and payloads? If you didn't give the answer, it made the choice for you, and that will change the results.
For example, the agent chose Redis compability and even documented so in the README. This is an architectural decision completely unrelated from its ability to write Elixir code but it will make it so Elixir now has to talk to an additional service, while Go and Rust doesn't have to.
> Same as what was used for Go, Laravel, Rust, etc.
If that's the case, why was Go ported from Rust but the Elixir one from Rails (according to their AGENTS.md)?
Anyway, someone already wrote a pull request here:
github.com/zachdaniel/once-c… - you probably want to look at the load testing benchmarks cause the Rust one seems to be dropping messages.
For anyone that like to patron someome to specific lang, DHH's today stance can be confusing 😅
I've had agents implement and optimize the Campfire web app in Elixir, Go, and Rust. Yes, Ruby is the slowest. I didn't care about that when the pay-off was huge in terms of productivity and developer joy. But if you're no longer reading the code? github.com/basecamp/once-cam…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The shown benchmarks use non-equivalent implementations: Elixir routes all DB queries through a single GenServer with Redis for jobs (retained from Rails), while Rust uses in-process queues, omits CSRF tags/fields, and applies other caching changes.
