Western financial media have developed a remarkable formula for reporting positive Chinese economic data: China’s industrial profits rise 14.4%. Semiconductor equipment profits jump 51.7%. Optical-fiber profits rise more than sixfold. Then immediately: “weak demand” “consumer bust” “property downturn” “employment crisis” “local debt” “bear market” The numbers are allowed to be positive. The narrative is not.

Carney, the former Governor of the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England, serves as the Chair of Brookfield Asset Management. He has simultaneously been a central driving force behind the creation and diplomatic lobbying for the DSRB. Defence Security and Resiliance Bank a new, Canada-led multinational financial institution designed to provide financing for allied military, security, and resilience projects. The DSRB is designed to act as a multinational "war bank" that leverages public backing to unlock massive amounts of private institutional capital. As one of the world's largest alternative asset managers, major financial players like Brookfield are structurally aligned with the bank's core mission to funnel private infrastructure and credit investments into allied defense supply chains. Why are Canadian taxpayers buying Carney and Brookfield a bank?

The UN Human Rights Council confirmed that the US blockade against Cuba violates human rights and international law, citing Article 33 of Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits collective punishment. Your administration is starving and killing babies in Cuba just like Israel is starving and killing babies in Gaza. The U.S. sanctions against Cuba must be lifted immediately. This’s a crime against humanity.
The Castro regime has profited at the expense of the Cuban people with luxury cars, expensive watches and a private island resort. As I shared this with the world, regime thugs rushed the stage to interrupt my speech. They can intimidate their own people in Cuba but think again about trying that nonsense in the United States of America.

Definition check: a dictator holds unlimited power. Hmm yet in 1956 the CPC took Mao Zedong Thought off the constitution; in 1959 he ceded the presidency; in 1962 he self-criticised before 7,000 cadres; in 1965 Beijing papers spent weeks refusing an article he'd backed. Unlimited? The reason he’s so rightly idolised is because without him China would never be what it is today. You wouldn’t get any of these fancy tech, AI, skyscrapers, cars etc without Mao who started it all!

A message to those who still believe that it all started on October 7. No, it didn't. A 'managed genocide', to keep 1.5 million Palestinians "on the edge of life" was in force years before. Read the latest report by Eyal Weizman: "A military document called ‘Red Lines’ set the minimum number of calories required to sustain Gaza’s population at a level just above the UN definition of hunger (2100 calories a day for men, 1700 for women and a varying amount for children depending on gender and age). The total number of calories was translated into the tonnage required to feed Gaza’s then population of 1.5 million and thus the number of aid trucks allowed into the territory. The same went for megawatts of electricity and litres of fuel and water. What was seen as good behaviour was rewarded by an increase in the amounts coming in, any acts of resistance by the tightening of the siege, like a population-scale version of a Milgram experiment." lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v48/n20/…

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s support for the people of South Africa in their struggle against Apartheid is deeply rooted in the history of our two nations. We honour the memory of the late Oliver Tambo, one of the leaders of South Africa’s liberation struggle, on his birthday.

America does not have allies. It has assets with expiration dates. The relationship is entirely clear if you read it without the vocabulary it comes wrapped in. You provide something: a base, a border, a resource, a regional buffer, a vote in an international body, a population willing to fight a war Washington wants fought but not by Americans. In exchange, you receive support. Weapons, money, diplomatic cover, the protective association of American power. The transaction is real. The support is real. What is not real is the implication that the transaction is permanent. The moment you stop providing what they came for, or the moment they find a cheaper source, or a new strategic priority makes your geography irrelevant, or domestic politics make the relationship a liability, the transaction ends. And you will be left holding weapons that need American spare parts, an economy restructured around American investment, a military trained to American doctrine, and the discovery that none of it came with a guarantee. This is not betrayal. It was never a promise. It was always a transaction. The tragedy is being the last one in the room to understand that.

How do you defeat people who's technology growth is rapid, they build what they use, all home-grown, their military capabilities challenged by the world's best military and they defeated them. Iran as a superpower has come to stay.
