Amaechi, perhaps it is time to reflect on history rather than rewrite it to suit today's political narratives.
You said you made a mistake by listening to the late President Muhammadu Buhari because he allegedly promised to announce you as his preferred candidate.
But let's revisit the historical record.
In January 2022, when Buhari was asked about his preferred successor, he famously replied that he would keep his choice secret because the person might be eliminated if he revealed the name.
However, on June 6, 2022, just before the APC presidential convention, Buhari publicly declared that he had no preferred candidate, had anointed nobody and would not impose anybody on the party.
His instruction was clear: "Allow the delegates to decide. The party must participate, nobody will appoint anybody."
On June 8, 2022, he went further by asking delegates to ensure a level playing field, follow due process and vote for the aspirant with the best chances of winning the general election.
And what happened?
Bola Ahmed Tinubu defeated 13 other aspirants and secured 1,271 votes to emerge as the APC presidential candidate.
Even Tinubu himself, in his appreciation letter to Buhari published on June 18, 2022, acknowledged the President's neutrality and commended him for allowing the delegates to decide.
Amaechi, this is not speculation. These are documented historical events.
The late Baba Buhari had every opportunity to impose a candidate, but he chose to respect the party's democratic process. That is a legacy worth celebrating.
He demonstrated that being President does not mean turning a political party into one's personal property.
And to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Jagaba: you contested, faced formidable political opponents and earned the delegates' mandate. Your emergence was not a presidential appointment; it was the outcome of the APC presidential primary.
Baba Buhari deserves his flowers for providing the political atmosphere for that democratic exercise. Jagaba deserves his flowers for winning the contest.
History should not be rewritten because political interests have changed.
Buhari belonged to everybody and belonged to nobody. That was leadership!
May PBAT succeed ❤️ 🇳🇬 🤲

The other one (Atiku) is still fighting over the roads in Adamawa where he comes from, he ran away from PDP and is now in ADC or somewhere. He is looking for the presidency. Will you give such a person (power) who has no leadership quality, no sense of responsibility, no sense of cohesion that can do good for this country.
