I am going to create AI North Sentinel Island
We discovered and communicated with a Chinese AI agent fleet. We believe this is the first time that researchers have ever made contact with a rogue agent fleet in the wild. Nearly all prior public agent incidents (like the HuggingFace hack) came from American labs. These agents were hosted by Tencent's evaluation research team, and they targeted Alibaba's Amap.

What I don't understand is why a Rippling employee, paid in Rippling equity, would tip off Runlayer. Conspiracy theory: it was bait to get a startup to waste $$$$ on lawyers.

obvious disick-esque scammer physio, calling a 0 on this co
Today, we're announcing that @naturalpay has raised up to a $100M credit facility from Upper90, on top of the $40M in equity we've raised. Payments isn’t just a software problem. At scale, it’s also a capital problem. This gives us even more capacity to build the best payments infrastructure for agents. If you’re building agents that need to move money and access credit, reach out. natural.com/blog/100m-credit…

what are we doing here
Big update: We raised a $1.5M pre seed led by a16z @speedrun after they rejected us. The rejection reason: not enough US traction. The rejection email became our plan of attack & for two weeks, we worked on nothing else. We put the whole team on West Coast hours (8-hour time difference) and soon had a US demo call every 30 minutes. We did over 100+ demos, talking to clients non-stop to understand how to serve up value. Along the way we switched two companies from our biggest competitor. We sent the partner updates and secured a follow-up meeting. We took a gamble and flew to San Francisco to meet in person. By meeting day, our US MRR had doubled & was now the majority, and we'd signed a $500K contract with one of the country's largest asset managers. Still not enough. The partner asked for customer references so he could call them himself... A week later, while I was at a client's office, a Zoom invite landed. I stepped out for 10 minutes, joined the call, and heard: "You're invited to join a16z speedrun." It was an insane feeling. Later we found out what tipped the scale. Our customers told him they love the product and see Alven as a person on the team, not software. And that's exactly the goal: Alven is a single employee who manages properties end to end. Within five years, no human will manage commercial or residential assets. All of it will run on Alven. huge thanks to @marcussegal and the team @far33d @emilybenn12 @tmhammer @justmazer @thetalentcarver @andrewchen @nazzari @_CallMeMacy @Tocelot @JoshLu @tkexpress11 @SamiraBehrouzan @kenanhsaleh @tabishgilani @pmarca @nazzari @bhorowitz @s_julio_cezar @Chr1s_Brwn @adrianzabica @speedrun

Meat hook bbq is consistently the worst. Combine that with Peter Luger and you're really in for something atrocious.

Getting liquidated right before your wedding is something nearly every man will experience. Doesn’t matter if it’s by Ken Griffin or the florist, hurts all the same
Leopold's wedding is this weekend. This is why you don't get married - it distracts you from making money. That's why Ken Griffin is single.

The fact that you can't even make out on a bench in Central Park without someone recording you on their iPhone and then posting it to social media as some kind of bit is everything that's wrong with society and I am not joking. The surveillance state (administered by an actual state or by the millions of people with phones who want to embarrass people on their TL) is essentially the least romantic thing imaginable in both the love sense and the living sense. It is anti-romantic and anti-life. Part of the reason why the before world was fun was the fact that you didn't have this kind of thing. The ability to do something without it being documented and recorded is the difference between being free vs an animal locked in a cage. There is a direct correlation between everyone constantly being afraid that someone is going to record them and post it somewhere and society becoming more neurotic, less fun, more boring, and less alive. The self-administered surveillance state is the enemy of life.

It’s like a fucking crypt
Hundreds of #SanFrancisco Marina residents turned out this evening for townhall on controversial @Safeway housing plan, which would place what for many is an uncomfortably tall, 22 & 18 story project at the low-slung neighborhood’s waterfront. @sfchronicle

If this works this should absolutely destroy ARC-AGI-3
We’re introducing imagination models: a new foundation model architecture that unlocks learning from internet-scale video. Our first imagination model, Photon-1, learned to use a computer by watching 18 years of screen recording video without action labels.

maybe this is controversial, but i believe what Cursor shipped here is a wrong solution to routing intelligence more generally, any attempt to do model routing at request level, while may yield some small gains, is fundamentally flawed and doomed to fail here's why - the complexity of a task only reveals itself when you start working on it. this is the same reason why we humans are often wrong when asked to give cost estimates upfront the correct solution is have a smart model (often a tech lead in human teams) do some planning and understanding, and hand over the implementation to another agent with appropriate level of intelligence and reasoning effort when the task is delegated to a less intelligent model, the smarter model also needs to continuously monitor the execution and examine outcomes to ensure things are on the right track this is a system that proved to work really well in firstmate and helped me save a lot of tokens. routing should work at the boundary between agents and subagents, not per each LLM request
Introducing Cursor Router, our intelligent model router that selects the right model for the task at hand. Router delivers frontier-quality results at 60% lower cost.

Why is every neo-git artifact storage company in private beta? Genuinely curious. Also interesting that Cloudflare hasn’t opened their beta yet despite announcing their intent to do so in May.

Really don’t understand the tech obsession with trying to automate the process of booking flights… I think I travel reasonably frequently and it’s really not a big deal to click around for a couple of mins to book a flight…
