People Magazine: Rachel Lindsay doesn’t think the Bachelor franchise can recover from the Taylor Frankie Paul scandal.
She reacted in real time on the episode of the Bachelor Party podcast, which was released on March 20, and shared her candid thoughts on whether the TV franchise can move forward.
"I think it's over," she said of the franchise's future. "I was trying to think of a scenario where it could be different, because this isn't just, 'Oh, we put it all on a person. This person did this.' This is the system that allowed this to happen."
"The name Bachelorette, Bachelor is tainted at this point," Lindsay, 40, said. "How do you move forward past that? You can't."

Unfortunately both things can be true. His timing is likely manipulative but the actions of TFP in the video are also inexcusable. Not sure what kind of context would excuse repeatedly attacking someone near her child after they’re backing away from her.

Taylor Frankie Paul has responded to a leaked video from 2023 that appears to show her throwing metal stools at her ex, Dakota Mortensen, while her child is nearby.
A spokesperson for Paul said: “It’s sad to see the latest installment of his never-ending, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without any regard for the consequences for their child. Releasing an old video, which conveniently omits context, on their son’s birthday is a reprehensible attempt to distract from his own behavior. Thankfully, the public has seen this act before and knows who he is and sadly, many will recognize this pattern of manipulation, both in his actions on the show, and from their own experiences.”

Ok. This is pretty dark. It pretty clearly does not look like self defense. I do not think this woman should be on TV, especially when the premise is her finding a romantic relationship.
NEW: ABC's "Bachelorette" caught on camera allegedly attacking her ex-boyfriend and throwing a chair at him, which appeared to hit her child.
The "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" star is reportedly under investigation for domestic violence.
"The Draper City Police Department in Utah [is investigating] the allegations on both sides after a recent incident," Variety recently reported.
It's unclear if the police are investigating this incident or a separate one.
Paul is set to star in Season 22 of “The Bachelorette," which reportedly starts in 3 days.

I was disappointed by TFP’s appearance on GMA today. Nothing was addressed, everything was glossed over to talk about the show, which feels icky to me. 😣😣
It seems like either a) we have a Bachelorette who has abused her partner, or b) we have a Bachelorette trapped in an ongoing domestic abuse situation as a victim. Or c) both those things are true. Hard to watch any combo of that.
