If you drive all the way through Maine, where Stephen King lives, and really get a sense of what it's like, you will immediately understand why he still thinks that Democrats vs Republicans is a serious topic.
There are still some parts of Maine that look like America. If you live there long enough without seeing the rest of the country, and you are also so myopic or stupid that you can't figure out what's happening elsewhere without actually living there, you would think that conservative policy is stupid, too.
Stephen King's big issues are centered around grocery prices and HOA rules about his lawn because he's not aware there's anything more important happening elsewhere.
The fact that half of his countrymen are screaming for blood because of how brutally bad things are does not even register to Stephen King. He will continue to vote for open borders and yell about meat prices.
It's like some kind of horror novel.

Sorry, but if you are “bad” with money, then there are only four possibilities or a combination thereof: 1) you have a fundamental lack of capability to do basic math 2) you have a fundamental lack of impulse control 3) you have a fundamental lack of foresight/future planning 4) you have a fundamental lack of care— all of which stem from either low IQ or a malady of the mind.
Anyone with these issues should not be in a position to be a doctor, lawyer, high stakes engineer, etc.
