Just some food for thought: St. Pete/Tampa does not have the same kind of public transit NYC does. For most, it's a good 35-40 minute drive to get to the Trop. Couple that with gas going both ways, that's a steep bill for a game you can watch comfortably at home.

@The7Line6h
Only $8 to get in the Trop, $5 to park, and you get to sit on the field to watch the road ALCS game. Like 40 fans showed up. Jeez Louise.

And shocker: The team founded in 1998 doesn't have a fanbase the same size as the cities who have had them for 50+ years.
15
Yes, guys do pick great destinations, but look at the NHL: Are all the guys picking LA, New York and Toronto? Nope! They're going to Florida, to Dallas, to Vegas, to Washington D.C., etc., and guys will pick based on what they feel is the best for them and their careers.

Joe Kelly just dropped an anti-cap truth bomb: Even if a salary cap meant every team could only offer Shohei Ohtani $10M, he’d still pick the Dodgers over Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, or Minnesota every single time. Why? Because nobody’s Googling “best places to visit in America” and landing on those cities. Destination + winning culture still wins when the max money is the same for everyone. A cap doesn’t create parity. It just makes the desirable spots even more dominant. The Dodgers would love a salary cap.

Also think about this: Some cities are far better for raising kids than others. Some people might not want the big city life and may prefer to be out in the suburbs. Dodgers will still be successful in a salary cap system, they will just have a lot less room for error.

You know who has connections to the Muslim Brotherhood? The Qatari government which gave Trump his billion dollar plane. The Saudi Arabian government which gave Trump's son-in-law billions of dollars. Just saying.

Sumrall said he didn't care about rankings. He also said he thinks his own team isn't very good to begin with. I also think he hasn't put much thought to Miami, who isn't even on Florida's schedule this year.

Sumrall seeing Miami at #1 and UF still ranked behind a team they just beat....hahahahaha
