While the decommissioned HMS Warspite was waiting to be scrapped in the 1940s, Stripey remained on duty as the last member of the battleship's complement. Other cats were introduced to help combat rodents, but Stripey furiously chased them away because she was determined to keep Warspite a one-cat ship. When she finally retired, she made up for lost time by having 30 kittens in 15 months. #cat #cats #catlore

Underrated aspect of being British, we never ate robins so now they are relatively fearless of us. Can't count the number of times a robin has waited for me to finish in a flower bed so he can get the worms.

The original camera negative is power, not judgment. Access to the original negatives and modern colour tools does not automatically guarantee a faithful restoration.

-company bought a ton of pumpkin for a secret project, it didn’t get used so I offered to take it home to make pumpkin stew, I hate wasting food -too busy for 4 days, can’t cook the stew, store the pumpkin in fridge, it’s cut though -finally I can make the stew -while cooking, eat a couple pieces for fun, hmm that tastes a bit weird -a couple hours later violently sick -find out the pumpkin had been sitting out and exposed for many hours before I took it home -have to throw out all the stew I made -in my effort to not waste food I ended up wasting even more food
