Countries advising emergency food/water stockpiles (typically 3-7+ days) include UK, Ireland, Japan, France, Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Switzerland. Others like US, Canada and Australia have longstanding guidance. Reasons: official preparedness for natural disasters, extreme weather, cyberattacks, power/supply disruptions and hybrid threats. Aims for household self-sufficiency in the first critical days so aid can prioritize the vulnerable. Not a war prediction but resilience-building amid rising risks.
