Congress leaders questioned his moral authority to target Rahul Gandhi, CM Siddaramaiah, D.K. Shivakumar and Priyank Kharge, accusing him of opportunistic politics amid the alleged sting-operation controversy.
Congress Bengaluru District President Kushal Haruvegowda and other leaders demanded an apology, asserting that democratic criticism must not descend into personal attacks or intimidation.

@AISA_karnataka condemned the alleged detention of protesters opposing SIR and demanding CEC Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation in Bengaluru on October 10.
@AISATweets, @SFI_CEC, AIDSO and AISF protesters reportedly faced heavy police deployment, barricades and restrictions near the Election Commission office, with plainclothes individuals also allegedly involved in detentions.
AISA questioned the Congress government’s commitment to democratic dissent, alleging that it was using tactics similar to those it criticises under the BJP.
Even Freedom Park, Bengaluru’s designated protest venue, remains restrictive, the organisation alleged.
AISA demanded the immediate release of detainees, removal of barricades, permission for peaceful protest and reopening of spaces at Freedom Park that it says have remained barricaded for five years.
AISA’s pointed question: “If the Congress government in Karnataka resorts to the same methods of repression, prevents peaceful protests and curtails democratic rights, then how is the Congress different from the @BJP4India?”

West Bengal. Supreme Court-ordered Tribunals hearing SIR appeals.
22.21 lakh deleted voters fighting to get their names back.
More than a dozen Tribunal judges met on August 11. Their minutes, as reported by Indian Express, say the EC's portal:
Can't serve notices to parties.
Can't take extra documents from voters.
Can't hold virtual hearings.
Can't restore a deleted voter.
Can't even let the voter download the Tribunal's own order.
The judges' own words: "in spite of several requests and reminders"... a notice format they approved in May "has not seen the light of the day till date."
The scoreboard, from ECI's own Supreme Court filing:
38.31 lakh appeals filed. 1.26 lakh disposed by September 10.
Over 37 lakh still pending.
And the Assembly election? Already over.
