i dont know if people truly appreciate the math Queenslanders have to do getting dressed every winter, sometimes it is simply too inconvenient to go home and you have riddles like "what outfit can i wear to both the 12 degrees and the 29 degrees"

Hey folks- family recently has had some emergency medical bills (the kind that comes with a comma). Selling signed prints of my art to help make ends meet. Trying to keep costs non-prohibitive: $20/print or 3 for $50. DM for link for payment! God bless and thank you ❤️🙏 🧵

Lando Norris levels of geopolitical awareness
One of my favorite details in Galactic Racer is this bit where Sebulba claims that the other human that beat him in a podrace "disappeared and made nothing of his life." Sebulba's entire life was focused on racing, so it absolutely makes sense that he never cared enough that the 9 Year Old that beat him on Tatooine eventually became one of the most infamous people in the galaxy.

I’ve noticed a revival of the chicken sandwich/burger discourse and I was to reiterate my offer to Americans. I will call it a chicken sandwich if you will acknowledge that a pig-in-blanket is not a sausage roll.

I’d argue this is a bigger sacrifice for us than you but it’s one I’m willing to make. Through dialogue and openness we can both move toward a better culinary language and cultural harmony.

If you’re the praying type, can you please say a prayer for Renee? A dear friend who showed me Christian love at an important time of my life, and is now in need of a miracle in very much a life-or-death way.

“His Shield form wasn’t good” “had a mediocre subcontinent tour a million years ago” “more of a limited overs player these days” Renshaw truthers we are eating today, don’t let anyone forget this, they can never take this from you

.@thomyorke tells @Harry_Styles that he was sick of ‘OK Computer’ by the time it came out. “When we finished that record, we'd been already playing those songs too much. And like, then when the manager said to us, 'Now you're going to go on tour for 2 years,' I'm like, I literally begged them, 'I can't, I can't do it.'”

It’s obviously not ready yet but in 5-10 years you’re gonna walk into a room and your elderly father will be watching 14 hours of John Wayne movies that never existed and there’s literally nothing we can do about it. Unless you guys are “cool” in which case I have some ideas…

Every father who reads to his children will reach a point when he’s nailed all the different silly voices for the characters and sincerely believe he has the chops for a career in voice acting.

NEW: According to a bombshell report in the New York Times, Anthropic co-founder Chris Olah threatened to walk out of Pope Leo XIV’s AI encyclical launch in May because the pope rejected the idea that machines can be conscious. Olah’s team then privately lobbied the pope’s advisers “to take the possibility of model consciousness seriously.” Pope Leo XIV held firm. For months, Anthropic has wined and dined theologians and religious scholars under nondisclosure agreements, hoping they would bless the idea that Claude has moral standing. thelettersfromleo.com/p/nyt-…

I am a music historian, and with @AdrianRMG I have researched the best-selling single of every decade all the way back to 14,000BC. Here's a thread: 2010s - Ed Sheeran, The Shape of You
