regret is useless to feel beyond how long it takes you to learn the lesson it carries.

Pulled some (probably imperfect) data on the growing proliferation of people building open-source alternatives to top public SaaS companies/products on github.

have a deep suspicion this is more true than we think especially considering other inflammation effects that are not yet on label

intelligence is jagged
Before having a kid I presumed that babies developed quickly but fairly linearly, but it feels a lot more like my daughter gets massive occasional OS updates, and wakes up knowing how to do five or six new different things every couple of weeks.

sometimes it takes 20y for a group chat to come together and that's beautiful

Website access is the main challenge preventing agents from using the internet. Today, we launched Config Registry to solve this: a self-improving API to get the correct @usekernel browser config for a given website. Give it a try and let us know how it goes!

so much of the last generation of card issuing was winning the top of wallet (for humans) sounds like there's a new fight to win the top of wallet for agents

just like initially you had to go into apple wallet to add a card and then eventually adding from your banking app became the default right now you are manually keying card numbers into instinct eventually adding from your banking app will become the default

The scale of public resistance is linearly correlated with how discontinuous a change is Any change that is sufficiently abrupt will generate resistance, regardless of it's benefits. Even if you said "no human will ever be sick again" half of humanity would fight you

🆕 whenever an agent wants to use a headless browser, it, itself, can decide to spin up a @usekernel session and pay for it in real-time via @mpp. the docs (kernel.sh/docs/info/mpp) are a compelling read, so i'm screenshotting them here as well.

I did the math. We can increase US GDP by 2.4% if the WiFi worked on United Airlines.

Everyone is building the next Travel AI. I'm betting on the world’s most trusted travel manager paired with the best AI team I’ve met. I can finally(!) say it: I'm joining Long Lake to lead product, partnering with @alextaubman and @rasmuswissmann
Today, Long Lake completed our $6.3B acquisition of Amex GBT. Long Lake acquires and transforms generational businesses with AI across the American services economy. Amex GBT is the travel partner for 17,500 businesses in 140 countries. Last year, Amex GBT booked 35 million trips for 10 million travelers. This marks Long Lake’s 40th acquisition, and our family of companies now employs nearly 30,000 people. We founded Long Lake three years ago with the thesis that AI is going to change every company, but there’s a large overhang between AI capabilities and how most businesses leverage AI tools. We partner with strong, profitable, and growing businesses to help them deploy AI and improve their customer service. Our first cohort of companies has doubled their EBITDA in less than two years through topline and productivity growth, all while increasing headcount. (We’re proud to say that we’ve never conducted a layoff.) We’re excited to share a bit more about what we’ve been up to.
