The “far-right” gain could be stopped in 5 minutes if the left were actually serious with these easy steps: stop taking in migrants in Europe, and crack down on crime in LATAM. Obviously other factors, but those two are the largest reasons why the waves keep happening.
if Brazil goes fascist im genuinely so done. what will that be now? Bolivia, Sweden, Germany, US, Venezuela, Colombia, Honduras, El Salvador, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Uruguay, Costa Rica, all seeing far-right victories in just, what, less than a decade? less than HALF a decade

I see the monthly discussion on Englishness and Whiteness arrived.
As I’ve said before, I’m not English. I’m proud to be British. My family and ancestors have a link to Britain which spans centuries. But in no way are we English. Yes, I was born in England, speak English and support the England football team. And indeed, I love England and the English people. But to say I’m English is to take a ‘laissez-faire, anything-goes’ attitude to ethnicity, citizenship and identity. It also denies me my Asian heritage. The liberals (many of them in today’s Conservative Party) take this cosmopolitan approach to Englishness. They’re terrified of being called racist so they say that anyone, as long as they’re born here, can be English. I take the conservative approach. Englishness is an ethnicity. There have been English people for centuries and we need to recognise this more if we are to start taking a more muscular approach to citizenship and nationality. And no, it’s not racist to say this. Other countries have no qualms in limiting who can be part of their citizenry and use ethnicity and culture as criteria. Here, the dogma of multiculturalism has been so corrosive that some people don’t actually know who we are anymore.

Amen! Glyndŵr wanted true independence. He wouldn’t want to give up any sovereignty to London, but he also wouldn’t want to give up any sovereignty to Brussels.
Today we remember #OwainGlyndŵr, who fought for a Wales that could govern itself 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 More than 600 years later, that ambition lives on. Plaid Cymru will always stand up for #Wales to have the voice, powers and resources we need to shape our own future ✊

Rupert supports the “independence” of an English village who can’t handle the migrants they voted for, but he won’t support self-determination for Wales, Scotland, and the six.
A genuine pleasure to visit the independent republic of Piddington this evening - these decent people deserve so much better.

We don’t ask to overrule England. We literally just ask to run our own country without 550 MP’s from the other countries interfering.
This argument is basically asking for minority rule and something really unfair to basic voting fairness. There are nearly 60 million people in England. 84% of the total uk population. The entitlement and disdain for basic democracy and fairness is staggering.

“Scotland, Wales and Ireland aren’t Celtic.” Then goes on to name literal Celtic groups. Also: England has more Celtic DNA than Wales or the Scottish Highlands have Anglo DNA.
Scotland, Wales and Ireland are not “Celtic” peoples. Their populations descend from a mixture of older prehistoric inhabitants and later peoples: Picts, Britons, Gaels, Anglo-Saxons, Norse, Normans and others - just as the English do. Scotland in particular contains strong Pictish, Brittonic, Gaelic, Anglo-Saxon and Norse ancestry; Wales is descended largely from the ancient Britons but also carries later English, Norse and Norman ancestry; and Ireland combines deep prehistoric and Gaelic ancestry with Norse, Norman and later English and Scottish input. So stop LARPing as some untouched ancient Celtic people. You aren’t. And the supposedly “nationalist” parties that encourage this fantasy are, in practice, left-wing, communist parties that hate the very historic peoples and traditions they claim to represent and would love to see you replaced. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧

The Unionist press is acting like our FM’s just declared independence unilaterally. Plaid’s manifesto was clear: no referendum during this Senedd. But what they are doing is refusing to pretend the status quo is permanent or working for Wales. That isn’t “plotting the end of Britain” unless you’re the Torygraph fearful of losing control. It’s what a normal country does when the funding formula and the Crown Estate still treat it like an afterthought. If the goal is independence that can actually win and then function, the referendum is not the first job. Economic fear is still the biggest No reason. People need a plausible story on tax, borrowing, pensions, the border with England, and what replaces Barnett. More tax and borrowing control so Cardiff can prove it can run a balanced budget. If there ‘s any aspirations for the EU in the future, this is mandatory. Obviously not entirely possible with current devolution schemes, but any plans to show how Wales can be fiscally balanced and independent will help sway voters. An independent Wales needs a civil service, stats office, revenue service, and diplomatic muscle that don’t exist at state or devolved scale yet. Obviously another devolution issue but we can still do whatever we can whilst inside the UK. A national conversation that is honest. YesCymru-style campaigning plus proper commissions dealing with costs, currency options, EU accession as a small new member, and what happens to shared institutions. We discovered a few days ago that support is much stronger under 45 than over 45. That’s an opportunity, but we also have to keep that support. Young people grow old too, and become more reliant on the NHS and pensions, which are issues Welsh independence is *not* winning atm. Most of the Welsh economy is tied to England. Independence isn’t Ireland where we have a sea separating us. Any serious plan has to say how trade, workers, and the border actually work, especially for East Walian communities on the border. The order is: competence and cash first, then the vote. Asking for the referendum before those exist is putting the cart before the horse. We saw that issue with Brexit, and we can’t afford another disorganised mess.
The leaders of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will gather on Monday to sign a deal designed to kick-start the break-up of the United Kingdom, The Telegraph can disclose. 🔗: telegraph.co.uk/politics/202…

🔴 Iranians are showing the extremely diluted gasoline that the Islamic Republic is selling people. It’s so watered down that it can’t even be lit on fire. This is why thousands of people’s cars have broken down. This is one of the many ways the Islamic republic rips people off.

137,000 likes for "Israel did 9/11" This is just a crazy conspiracy theory. There is no evidence linking Israel to 9/11. And such lunatic theories do nothing whatsoever to help Palestinians.

Wales is like literally every other European country teaches 2+ languages to kids. Ireland teaches English and Irish and they score higher than us. This is either just a monoglot cope, or blaming Cymraeg for shitty policies and oversight from Labour.
BEING obliged to learn Welsh probably does not help either.

This is the same demon who said all Lebanese people should be genocided. That includes Christians and Jews still there. Legitimately evil man whose writings I could easily confuse for Mein Kampf.
🇦🇷🇮🇱 @netanyahu @JMilei
