i do love when female characters are morally gray but not every time female characters have to be bloodthirsty, sarcastic, cruel and arrogant to be considered as strong and powerful, having a SOFT and GENTLE personality doesn't equate to being weak.

Bringing this back up as people are talking about it because McKenna Grace said she currently does Krav Maga and I’m realizing now with the discourse online that many of you don’t know what Krav Maga is. Here’s a short thread about how you’re a Zionist if you participate in it.
I was talking with @slshers the other day about how much Israeli propaganda has been pushed in American tv shows and movies including my own favorite horror show. You might think a character bringing up Krav Maga isn’t a big deal until you realize that’s exactly the point

So it's not transactional. Creators don't do it because the bottom line doesn't matter. It's easy to rationalise every thing as a matter of numbers.
Don't remove the human connection from it. I share because I care about access to art. Not because the numbers justify it :)

Creators who say they understand that their books are pirated, do so out of a sense of generosity and a desire to share their work; especially in places where the work isn't readily available.
I believe in the primacy of art as human connection over its value as product.
