My article on building MCP servers in Delphi with MCPConnect is now live on the Embarcadero Blog! 🚀
Add a few attributes and your existing Delphi classes become MCP tools, resources and prompts that Claude or any AI host can use:

2/ What's in the article: what MCP is and how it works, how to set up a server with MCPConnect's fluent configuration, the stdio and Streamable HTTP transports, and how to turn your existing business logic (FireDAC queries, invoicing modules…) into tools.
3/ MCPConnect is open source (MIT), written with Luca Minuti. You can get it from GetIt in RAD Studio or on GitHub: github.com/delphi-blocks/MCP…. Docs: mcpconnect.delphiblocks.dev

"I'm doing a (free) operating system (just a hobby, won't be big and professional like gnu)..."
On August 25, 1991, a 21-year-old student sent a message to a Usenet newsgroup. He thought he was just building something fun for himself.
35 years later, that "hobby" is the backbone of global technology:
🚀 Powering helicopters in space with NASA
☁️ Running the global cloud and 100% of the world’s supercomputers
📱 Connecting billions of people
🎮 Redefining the future of handheld gaming
What started as one student's side project became the greatest collaborative technology movement in history. Thank you to every maintainer, contributor, and advocate who made it possible.
Happy 35th Birthday, Linux. Here’s to the power of open source and the next 35 years of building together.

Logify part 2 is out -> The adapters: the half of the picture your application never sees.
Console, debug, files, buffer, syslog, plus LoggerPro and QuickLogger bridges. Everything except those last two has no dependency beyond the RTL.
blog.paolorossi.net/post/log…
The Files adapter hands your string to a bounded queue and returns. A writer thread drains it, rolls the file when it hits the size limit, and a timer thread prunes old ones.
None of that exists until the first line is actually logged. Registering a factory starts nothing.
The Syslog adapter goes through libc syslog(3) on Linux, so records land in journald or rsyslog. The payload carries no timestamp, host or pid, because the daemon already records all three.

Write logs now, choose the logger later.
Logify is a meta-logger library for Delphi, here is an introduction:

Delphi cross-platform stopwatch with similar functionality to TStopwatch, but it allows measuring different times: real time, process time, and thread time, including highly accurate process cycles and thread cycles.

It's my #Twitterversary! I have been on Twitter for 14 years, since 3 Dec 2008 (via @twi_age).
In this first part of the series "JSON Serialization with Neon", I will show how to easily transform Delphi types (simple and complex) to and from JSON using the open source library "Neon":
