Incantations for Africa We call back the names they erased. We call back the stories they silenced. We call back the ancestors whose footsteps were buried beneath foreign roads. What was taken, remember it. What was broken, repair it. What was silenced, let it speak. What was scattered, let it return. From the forests, remember. From the rivers, remember. From the palaces, remember. From the sacred objects carried across oceans, return. We are not the ruins of history. We are its living memory. We are the descendants. We are the storytellers. We are the keepers. Africa remembers. Africa speaks. Africa reclaims. Africa rises.

The true cruelty of AFRICAN POLITICS lies not in neglecting poverty but in WEAPONIZING it to secure power and manipulate the masses who don't even realize they are being manipulated. 😩😥😢

Learning visits remain an important part of strengthening higher education institutions, creating opportunities to learn from each other, reflect on practice, and explore areas for collaboration. During our recent visit to @FinsMedical, we explored collaboration in research and innovation, student and faculty exchange, postgraduate education, and institutional development. We also engaged with the Fins team, visited their hospital, and gained insight into their systems and approaches. For institutions committed to transforming health systems and championing social justice, such exchanges strengthen knowledge, practice, and institutional learning.

Africa has capital. So why does it keep losing wealth? The question is not simply whether Africa has resources. It is whether the continent can mobilize, retain and invest its wealth in its own priorities. At PAC 2026, as TrustAfrica marks 20 years of advancing African agency, this conversation puts African capital at the center: domestic resource mobilization, taxation, illicit financial flows, philanthropy, and the choices that will shape Africa’s ability to finance its own future. The challenge is clear: How do we make Africa’s wealth work for Africa? 🎥 Watch the conversation: Africa Has Capital. So Why Does It Keep Losing Wealth? youtu.be/751HI9cDq-s #TrustAfrica20 #PAC2026 #AfricanCapital #AfricanAgency #TaxJustice #DomesticResourceMobilization #AfricanPhilanthropy

You would think that things have changed. But no. Ngonnso is not yet back home, thanks to the failure of political leadership to facilitate the physical return.

.@Ahakiinstitute is hosting a public lecture that will examine self-care beyond its framing as an individual practice, considering how culture, identity, relationships, community, belonging, and collective responsibility inform our understandings of well-being and care. Drawing on the Self Care Toolkit (tinyurl.com/5fr3cdtr), the conversation will connect these perspectives to practical approaches to intentional self-care. 2 October 2026 | 4:00 PM–6:00 PM EAT | Online Register: tinyurl.com/yja67s9a
