With the promise of real gold & silver assets tradable for the NFTs Thanks to the fast & decisive action from @PepeVersX, @aDAMNonX, @DBCrypt0 @xoxnoNFTs and many others, an emergency space was made, mint was stopped & many in the community were saved. Sadly, some were not so fortunate. 254 unique wallets minted Funds they received $EGLD 1039 QoWatt 234600 CantinaRoyale 172500 Utrust 550 WrappedUSDC 200 Their Modus Operandi was to contact many projects & individuals directly on @x. Some they actually provided real gold/silver too which then served to reinforce their legitimacy via tweets and social media post, thanking/promoting them. Here's what they sent to SuperRareBears & many other projects received the same. "Hello team, We would like to offer 5 grams of gold and 10 troy ounces of silver for your community. We don't need likes or retweets; a shoutout will be fine. You can create a small game in your Twitter or Discord community this weekend or next week. There will be 15 winners. Give us their information, and we will ship the assets starting next week. We just want to engage with top communities and showcase our work. Let me know if this is ok. Stephan Danzz CMO, Dot9App" As many know, we are all about community & their offer to provide gold and silver assets to our ecosystem seemed like a good opportunity. Too good! We aren't ones to hang around, and we had already made a graphic. We do this for many opportunities as we like to be prepared. Doubt had already started to slip in, things didn't seem right & nothing was going to be announced regarding a collaboration. Then we saw Pepiamin's post. We informed some of those who had been involved (for no fault of their own) and the rest is history. This was an elaborate scam which fooled many, and it couldn't have come at a worse time for #MultiversX. Hopefully, lessons will be learned & we can move forward. Always DYOR, if it seems too good to be true, then it probably is. We are currently reviewing the data to see how many SRB holders got caught up in this & we will come up with something.
