Eleven years ago, before I worked at Twitch, I built an app called Shiver which was a macOS desktop app that tried to do a better job at serving notifications.
Today, in order to get the blood flowing again, I decided to revive it. A continuing 🧵 of progress(?)...
Day 6.5: Ew, found a pretty nasty UX pattern. We're required to use the Twitch embed, but we can't pass login information TO the embed. So... people would have to log into the app THEN the player. Don't even know if Turbo status carries.
Ugh, stuff like this demotivates me.
