Morning, friends! Last week I posted about Spidergram, the web analysis tool @autogram_is just released on GitHub. Over the holidays, we’ll be doing a lazy, weekdays-only advent calendar — showing interesting tricks and explaining the ideas behind it. github.com/autogram-is/spide…

Not only is today's date a palindrome, it's also an ambigram. You can read it left to right, right to left, and also upside down #nerdalert

Always a pleasure to talk shop with @brownorama, and this ep. of A Lens A Day was particularly fun. We chat about the complexity of remote facilitation, the difference between content "topics" and "containers", and how planning a workshop is a lot like prepping a D&D session.
If you thought A Lens A Day - Conversations about Information Architecture couldn't get any more esoteric, behold episode 30! @brownorama and @eaton talk the Lens of Topic vs. Container "If you're using it like a category, it's a category." -- Jeff youtu.be/k-KAlXgL-jM

So, last week @beep and I had a fascinating conversation with @petermcreaper and @mkeftz about the work they're doing on @interplayapp; among other things we circled around the ideas Peter mentioned in his post about design artifacts… it's worth a read. pete.studio/notes/design-fil…
“We’re looking for people who want to solve hard problems,” say half the job listings, oblivious to the fact that their hard problems are mostly organizational and not at all interesting or unique.

Navigating these models is often a part of working with large cross-disciplinary teams. Some groups are familiar with one view of the system, while others spend their time with aanother. Understanding how the models differ — and relate — is a key to effective coordination.
Because it's evergreen, I find myself writing up another explanation of the distinctions between a Domain model, a Content model, and a Data model. For most folks this doesn't matter, but for some teams, it's a point of contention!
