Thrilled to announce our latest incubation: Horowitz Andreessen Academy.
Horowitz Andreessen Academy will be a two-year residential program in San Francisco for 16 to 22 year olds.
My biggest regret from my college experience is how divorced it was from the real world (both practically but also intellectually)
HAA is the opposite. Students will learn from real-world practitioners and intellectuals; including founders (Sam Altman, Brian Armstrong, Jensen Huang), investors (Elad Gil, Daniel Gross), and professors (Agnes Callard, Tyler Cowen), among hundreds of others. The Academy is the educational experience I wish I had.
In 1984, the educational psychologist Benjamin Bloom published a paper about how the average student who received one-on-one tutoring focused on mastery techniques performed better than 98% of the control group. For generations, this was viewed as unrealistic to implement even if it produced the best outcomes.
At the Academy, we will be able to locate any tutor on any topic that a student desires.
Take an aspiring filmmaker or producer. The standard path offers them film theory courses, peer workshops, and the occasional visiting filmmaker; everything past that takes meticulous networking and luck. The very entrepreneurial type will find ways to invite prominent speakers to speak and meticulous networking to reach the right people. At the Academy, they will learn the business from the people who run it and their next creative project will have notes from award-winning filmmakers.
Take a young founder. Yes, there is endless content online; you can watch a video on any skill. But content is not coaching. The Academy will provide dedicated, experienced coaches and mentors who know your company and psychology. Students can workshop issues with prominent leaders in technology who host sessions on campus. Every generation of entrepreneurs has had mentors in their corner. Ours will too.
Take the technical student focused on research. At the Academy, academics are focused on the frontier. Students will be taught and mentored by AI researchers at frontier labs. They’ll be conducting research and sharing progress, and presenting their work at ICML and ICLR.
The goal of the Academy is to identify the right mentors, the correct bottlenecks, and the right introductions, adjusted continuously around one person and their pursuits.
The education philosophy focuses on co-ops, courses, and pursuits.
Co-ops are the opportunity to work during the year (not just over the summer). It's the chance to work across countless different roles and companies, including getting connected to our 10 founding partners: Anduril, Anthropic, Coinbase, Google, Meta, NVIDIA, OpenAI, Palantir, Replit, and Stripe.
Courses are taught by legendary people: people who have founded unicorns, invested in those unicorn companies, or are on the intellectual frontier.
And most importantly, it's about Pursuits. It's about personal projects, quests, startup ideas, rabbit holes that define the student experience. The Academy will provide dedicated, experienced coaches and mentors who know your work and psychology.
At HAA, the individual education of each student is the whole design. We want to meet you. Applications for the founding class are open.

A very important message for parents as well. If your child is in college or getting in or out soon, please contemplate on what @prathoshap has shared here.
Dr. Pratosh at IISc Bengaluru tells his students that rapid advances in AI are commoditizing intellectual labour.
He raises an unsettling question: if companies stop recruiting on campus in the next 5–10 years—even at India’s top universities—what will the purpose of a university education be ?
A must watch video for everyone in tech

Elon Musk posted an idea that hit 27 million views:
"stop building startups. buy boring internet real estate and let bots run it"
that's literally what Grok Bot does now. the whole setup costs $0 on top of the sub:
→ create a bot, name it Mogul
→ tell it to find one boring niche people search every day (it reads X and reddit complaints in real time, it's grok)
→ it builds a small directory site on its own computer and ships one useful page every night
→ it negotiates affiliate and referral deals itself, by email, in your name
→ publishing runs on a routine. telegram sends you the money reports
→ month one: traffic. month three: the first $217. it never stops after that
your laptop stays shut. the site grows anyway
every page is a tiny employee that works forever. it compounds like rent
some of them run 3 sites each and haven't opened a single one. they don't post about it, and now you know why
every month you wait, someone's bot ships another 30 pages into the niche you would've picked
full playbook below
bookmark this before someone takes your niche
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Elon Musk never posted the claimed quote or idea about stopping startups for "boring internet real estate" run by bots (no matches in his posts or web searches; his ~26M-view Grok bot post is unrelated).

Replying to @maximumpain333
This has to be the best explanation of As Above, So Below I've ever heard.
"The seed carries its invisible design before becoming a tree".
Well said.
xitter.cf/maximumpain333/status/…
Everyone explains “As above, so below” incorrectly and that is why they miss its true power.
They reduce it to a pleasant formula of manifestation: think positively, visualize what you desire, and the Universe will reproduce it. But this is merely the surface. The true principle is far more profound and far more demanding.
“Above” is not the sky, and “below” is not the earth. Above is the archetype: the invisible order, the cause before the event, the intelligence before the form. Below is that same intelligence condensed into the body, matter, relationships, circumstances and time.
“As within, so without” does not mean that every passing thought immediately creates your life. It means that whatever remains enthroned within you will eventually seek a body outside of you. A hidden fear becomes a pattern. An unhealed wound becomes a choice. A divided will creates a divided path. An embodied truth becomes presence, magnetism and direction.
Through years of ritual work, energetic reading and confronting my own inner worlds, I have learned one undeniable truth: the visible almost never begins in the visible.
You may change the person, the city, the altar, the business or the method—but if the unseen architecture remains untouched, the same lesson will return wearing another face.
The world is a mirror, but not a shallow mirror. It does not merely reflect what you desire. It reveals what you serve, what you tolerate, what you secretly fear, what you have made sacred and what you are finally ready to transform.
The natural world is the Mental made visible. The seed carries its invisible design before becoming a tree. In the same way, every material form is preceded by a subtler order. Ritual is the conscious bridge between these two worlds.
The essence was never: control reality with your thoughts.
The essence is this: become so internally ordered that your outer life can no longer remain loyal to your former chaos.
Stop fighting the reflection.
Enter the unseen cause.
As above, so below.
As within, so without.
The seen is the mirror of the unseen.

🚨 IVERMECTIN: THE COMPLETE DOSAGE GUIDE
Cancer • Skin Conditions • Parasitic Infections • Off-Label Uses
Most people know Ivermectin as a medicine for parasites.
But that's only part of the story.
For nearly 40 years, it has been used worldwide to treat approved parasitic infections.
Today, it's also used in dermatology, explored in off-label applications, and actively investigated in cancer research.
This guide brings all four areas together in one quick reference.
Here's what you'll find.
👇
💊1. Approved & Standard Uses
Ivermectin has a long clinical history in treating parasitic infections, including:
✅ Onchocerciasis (River Blindness)
✅ Strongyloidiasis
✅ Filariasis
✅ Ascariasis
✅ Trichuriasis (Whipworm)
✅ Enterobiasis (Pinworm)
✅ Cutaneous Larva Migrans
✅ Gnathostomiasis
✅ Myiasis
✅ Toxocariasis
✅ Mansonelliasis
✅ Capillariasis
These are the conditions for which Ivermectin has been widely used as an antiparasitic medicine.
🧴 2. Skin Conditions
Ivermectin is also used in dermatology.
The guide includes commonly referenced dosing for:
• Scabies
• Crusted Scabies
• Head Lice
• Demodicosis
It also highlights topical 1% Ivermectin cream, which is approved for the inflammatory lesions of rosacea.
🧪 3. Off-Label Applications
Beyond its approved indications, Ivermectin has also been explored for a variety of other conditions.
The guide includes commonly discussed off-label applications such as:
• COVID-19
• Dengue
• Zika Virus
• Yellow Fever
• West Nile Virus
• Tuberculosis
• Leishmaniasis
• Malaria
• Neurocysticercosis
These uses fall outside approved indications, and the strength of evidence varies by condition. Research is ongoing in several of these areas.
🔬 4. Cancer Research
One of the most active areas of current Ivermectin research is oncology.
Laboratory, animal, and early clinical studies have explored its potential role across multiple cancer types, including:
• Breast
• Colon
• Lung
• Stomach
• Pancreatic
• Liver
• Brain
• Prostate
• Kidney
• Esophageal
• Leukemia
• Melanoma
• Ovarian
Researchers are investigating how Ivermectin interacts with cellular pathways involved in tumor biology and whether those findings translate into meaningful clinical outcomes.
Larger clinical trials are needed to better understand its potential role.
⚖️ Why Is Everything Written In mg/kg?
One of the first things you'll notice is that nearly every dosage is expressed as mg per kilogram (mg/kg).
That's because Ivermectin dosing is generally calculated according to body weight rather than using one fixed dose for everyone.
For example:
🧍 60 kg (132 lb)
• 0.2 mg/kg = 12 mg
• 0.4 mg/kg = 24 mg
🧍 80 kg (176 lb)
• 0.2 mg/kg = 16 mg
• 0.4 mg/kg = 32 mg
This is why most Ivermectin protocols begin with body weight before tablet strength is determined.
💊 Common Tablet Strengths
Depending on the manufacturer and country, Ivermectin tablets are commonly available as:
• 3 mg
• 6 mg
• 12 mg
• 24 mg
• 48 mg
The appropriate tablet strength depends on the prescribed dose and body weight.

📚 Why Does This Matter?
Ivermectin has been used in medicine for decades.
At the same time, researchers continue to study where it may provide benefit, where it may not, and what future clinical trials can clarify.
Understanding the difference between approved uses, off-label applications, and investigational research helps put the current scientific discussion into context.

This is a message from one of teachers of Indian students, who won gold at Physics Olympiad.
I taught JEE physics for years. That paper breaks strong kids in three hours. This exam (International Physics Olympiad) is five hours of theory and five hours of lab work,* and these five did close to perfect scores on it.
The "International Physics Olympiad" is the world championship of school physics. It was the 56th edition, held in Bucaramanga, Colombia, from July 5 to 12. 381 students from more than 85 countries.* Every one of them the best physics student, btheir country could find.bIndia sent five kids.
All five came back with gold.
Their names are Kanishk Jain from Pune, Riddhesh Anant Bendale from Indore, Rishit Garg from Dwarka (in Delhi), Shresth Suraiya from Mumbai and Svarit Joshi from Ahmedabad.
That clean sweep put India at "Joint World Number One", tied with China, Russia, Kazakhstan, South Korea and Taiwan. Those are countries that pour serious money and national pride into science education. We are standing level with them.
Now here is what the exam actually was - two papers each, five hours long. The theory paper had three problems.
(i) One on the thermodynamics of para-magnetic cooling.
(ii) One on the
photoionisation of ozone.
(iii) One on the dynamics of electron positron pairs.
The experimental paper was another five hours in a lab, working through heat transfer and thermodynamic processes in fluids.
That means you get given equipment you have never seen and you have to design your own experiment, take your own readings, handle the errors and reach a real answer - nomultiple choice, no shortcuts, no pattern recognition.
You either understand physics or you sit there for five hours. HBCSE says the Indian students were near perfect on theory and excellent on the practical too. Now, this was India's 27th appearance at the IPhO. Across all those years, about 44 percent of Indian students have won gold, 41 percent silver, 10 percent bronze.
In the last ten years, every single Indian student has come home with a medal - 62 percent gold, 38 percent silver. Not one kid has gone and come back empty handed in a decade.*
Five golds in one year has happened only twice. This year and in 2018. So who built this? The programme is run by (HBCSE), the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education under (TIFR) Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, which sits under the Department of Atomic Energy.
They run the whole funnel - a national exam, then a national Olympiad, then a brutal selection and training camp and out of everyone in the country, five kids get on a plane. The team was *led by Professor Anwesh Mazumdar of HBCSE-TIFR and Dr Leena Joshi from St Xavier's College, Mumbai.
The scientific observers were Professor Ananda Dasgupta from IISER Kolkata and Nisha Kelkar from Gogate-Joglekar College in Ratnagiri. Yes, Ratnagiri, a college in a coastal town in Maharashtra. This is public education doing something the private coaching industry could never do on its own.
An olympiad paper does not have a known type. There is *no shortcut chapter. There is no formula sheet that saves you. You have to sit with a problem you have never seen and think. That is a completely different muscle.
And a government funded centre has been quietly building it in Indian teenagers for 27 years. So yes, be proud. Loudly, HBCSE also shared that around 64 percent of India's olympiad medallists go on to do a Ph.D. But only about 32 percent of medallists end up settling in India.
I do not say that to spoil the moment. These kids owe the country nothing. They earned every option they have. But it should tell us something.
- We are excellent at finding this talent.
- We are excellent at training it.
- We are still not great at giving it somewhere worth staying.
Congratulations, Kanishk, Riddhesh, Rishit, Shresth and Svarit. This is one of the best things an Indian did this year and most of the country will never hear about it.

One of the best carbs for fat loss is cooled potatoes.
Potatoes rank the highest on the satiety index of any food ever tested.
But when you cool a cooked potato, something interesting happens:
The starch restructures into something called resistant starch.
This type of starch is fermented by bacteria in your gut, producing short-chain fatty acids that reduce the inflammatory signals that drive fat storage.
And resistant starch has been linked in research to large drops in visceral fat along with improved insulin sensitivity, even without calorie restriction.
So cool your potatoes. Eat them plain. It's one of the simplest and cheapest fat-loss tools available.
Cool your potatoes. Seriously.
Chris Kresser on JRE dropped a wild tip: bake or boil a potato, let it cool, and the resistant starch forms. It won’t spike your blood sugar like a hot one does.
Even better, the potato diet. Eat plain potatoes (cooled) for days and people drop half a pound a day on average. Spontaneous calorie drop + gut microbiome feast.
Cooling cooked potatoes creates resistant starch, which acts like fiber, it resists digestion in the small intestine, feeds beneficial gut bacteria, and lowers the glycemic response, helping with blood sugar control and satiety.
Simple, old-school hack that actually works.

A man had a Tesla for 3 years.
Range dropped faster than it should. The screen felt cluttered. Charging always cost more than expected. Every road trip meant guessing which Supercharger to trust.
His friend — a former Tesla software engineer — sat in the driver's seat one evening and changed 9 things in 15 minutes.
The range calculation got accurate. The charging cost dropped. The screen decluttered. The car started predicting exactly when to stop for a charge, down to the minute.
He said: "It drives like a different car."
She said: "It is. You've been on factory settings for 3 years. Tesla ships the version that gets you into the app the most — not the version that gets you the most range or saves you the most money."
Here's everything she changed 🧵
