The 2026-07-28 MCP spec brings its authorization model in line with real-world OAuth 2.0/OIDC practice. Dynamic Client Registration is now deprecated in favor of Client ID Metadata Documents (CIMD). Authorization servers should now return an iss parameter in the authorization response, per RFC 9207. Authlete already supports both CIMD and RFC 9207.
